So why, then, do they feel so alone at the end of time?

Oh, golly! So, six months ago, I became the Supreme Empress of Friendship in all of Equestria, right? Yeah, I dethroned the existing princesses and imprisoned the Mane Six in Tartarus... But later, I found this Guardian Amethyst thingy and that transformed me into an alicorn! And then, for four long months, I was the only pony with magick... I saw how they all looked at me... I just knew they weren't happy and well, I can't really explain it, but something inside me kinda just broke?

And then three months ago, I decided that I needed a new assistant! Now, I needed somepony knowledgeable on what the other ponies want and need... And so, after talking with her about parole and freedoms, I released and employed Twilight Sparkle! Her friends must remain locked up for the time being as there's simply too many of them...

And then there was yesterday, when I decided to open the vortex again and allow magick to stream back into Equestria... I saw how happy that seemed to make everypony. I went to bed shortly thereafter and later woke up. I just had breakfast and was meeting with my assistant later that morning...

Ah, the last year of high school, when students start pondering their futures and similar existential crises. 17-year-old Applejack has... other problems. She's a long way from home, for one, and she knows home is the only place she's going back to after high school in the big city. Applejack is okay with this, but when she sees Rainbow Dash, soaring ever high, achieving her dreams, that doesn't stop her from wondering what it's like to fly.

Oh, and she's also in love with Rainbow, who's leaving the country in less than a year. That too.

This story is for the New Blood Contest. It technically qualifies for bonuses 1-4, however, the main two bonuses chosen are 1 "From the beginning, you know the end.." and 4 "The main character’s name and identity is never mentioned."

There was a human in Equestria named Lukas Hart, he had been resonating in the lovely small town of Ponyville for at least two years, and he enjoyed his new life in the magical land of Equestria. But when Twilight accidentally sent him to the future, Lukas soon found himself making friends with new ponies and helping them restore peace and harmony once and for all.

This is a remake of my story The Journey Of Lukas.

Twilight's been having weird, unfamiliar urges ever since she became an alicorn. Like an intense desire to grow flowers, or the fact she can't stop chewing on her wings when she's distracted. As it turns out, you can't just suddenly inherit the magic of all three pony tribes without getting the instincts to match, and instincts can be a powerful thing. Doubly so when you're not used to them, and especially when they're telling you that your best friend with the gorgeous wings would make the perfect partner to share a nest with.
