Starlight Glimmer hit it off well with Fizzlepop Berrytwist during their first counselling meeting,
but a specialized training program the dark unicorn has planned for the school,
accidentally reveals some unpleasant friction between the two ex-villains,
their futures entwined regardless, for the sake of Equestria.
And now Starlight's best friend Trixie wishes to confront Tempest too...

As a member of a royal family, it was always expected that Flurry Heart would come into a leadership role at some point in her life. But nopony could ever have expected it would be while she was still at a young age, as is the case when her parents are away on official business one day. And so begins the glorious reign of Flurry, apparently.

Sunset Shimmer's father passed away while she was in Canterlot, studying under Princess Celestia. After that, she never had a chance to visit him in the cemetery again, until now. But as she heads back to her hometown with a friend to pay her respects, the author of a certain book latches on to them for some reason.

Starlight Glimmer is filled with guilt for all the things she did at her old town. She also is wondering why Twilight Sparkle, the Princess of Friendship, is giving her a second chance after all the misery Starlight caused. Twilight and Starlight take the train right after Starlight becomes Twilight's apprentice of friendship.

This takes place during the song, Friends Are Always There For You, in the last episode of Season 5. There is a brief scene where Starlight returns with Twilight to the town Starlight had left at the beginning of the season. I know Starlight returns later in a different episode, but I wanted to write a short little story showing what Starlight might be thinking after her whole ordeal.
