Little Wing and Cirrus Ramble are two young ponies, originally from Cloudsdale but spending time nowadays in Ponyville. When a new Daring Do book comes out Little Wing is determined to collect it first from the library.

When Twilight is revealed to be out, they decide to sneak in and snoop around. They promptly find Twilight's secret lab behind some random bookcase. It also contains an evil looking death alter. It's about as stupid as it sounds.

Taking Daring Do as her guide—and accompanied by a ragtag team of griffons, a Skirmisher-turned-breezie, and Rainbow Dash—Twilight must travel across the lands at war with the Storm King, to reach Ancient Fleece, find a lost city, and obtain the legendary sword of King Disc Ovis: The Algae Photis.

UPDATE: I brought back the original beginning. I honestly hated the one I’ve been using for the last 3 months. I like the current one a lot more.

Celestia and Luna announce their retirement and their plans to turn the throne and power over Equestria to the mane 6. Unfortunately, this is the last straw for Twilight, and she goes off on a rant about why this isn't a good idea.
