She smiles into the mirror, pleased with the dragon she sees. Once she tried to be as macho as she could, but that was a game. Now she can just be herself.

During her usual nightly patrol of the dream realm, Luna happens upon a filly whose nightmares concern her. Twilight and Celestia investigate the filly's whereabouts, only to discover the filly is homeless and has not attended school in some time. During the night, Luna hunts the filly down to bring her to a foster home where she'll be cared for until a family adopts her. Everything ends well.

So, why is Luna heartbroken?

Author's Note: I started writing this story in January 2018, before seasons 8 and 9. I know what happens in those seasons, but with 20+ chapters (and getting longer if I continue it), it's too much to go back and try to integrate those seasons into the story. The last full episode I watched was Fame and Misfortune from season 7, so if anything in this story contradicts the actual canon, it's not on purpose. This is why I marked it "alternate universe", despite I wanted it to be a future version of the canon. Oh, well.

This story was inspired by Welcome, Princess Light Breeze on fanfiction.net by Snoopy7c7. I'm also aware there's already a story where Luna has a foal, but I haven't read that, so any similarities are coincidental and nothing more.

A young man named Alex was in a car crash and is in a coma and isn't waking up anytime soon. His past haunts him causing enough chaos and pain to get the attention of Luna what will happen? Have to find out soon.

Artemis, husband of Luna and father of Moonlight, is out on one of his midnight walks when comes across a little pegasus colt named Moon Dust who is badly hurt. After finding out what happened to the little one, Artemis takes him in and vows to take care of him. Follow the Lunar Family as Moon Dust adapts to his new life and tries his best to trust other ponies again. Ink Scroll wasn't always a pony. She was once a human, struggling to survive and thrive as her authentic self. One day, a mysterious magical accident brought her to Equestria. After the initial shock, she became the chief curator of the Ponyville Historical Society and employed by Princess Twilght Sparkle herself. This is her first holiday season in Equestria, and she is alone. That is until a couple visitors appear at her door.

In the aftermath of the hive's reformation and hard-earned acceptance across Equestria, many changelings find themselves freely traveling the continent. When one of them ends up in a modest little town on Equestria's outskirts, he charms a local stallion with tales of a place where all is lackadaisical and cuddly, and offers him a demonstration.

My brother and his friends overthrew a perfectly functional monarchy and turned the changelings into a bunch of pastel hippies.

I (regrettably also now a hippie) am trying to reintroduce regiment and strength to the changelings of our hive.

That includes my brother.
