Twilight Sparkle has a new experimental treatment to try out on Screwy's psychosis. A successful result could lead to a cure for dozens of similarly-afflicted ponies.

Screwy, however, has other plans. Can Twilight's magic fix her against her will?

A small slice of cake here. A single cup of tea there. So what really keeps the Princesses going from day to day?

And is Twilight Sparkle truly prepared to unearth such facts?

One thousand years ago, the Princesses Celestia and Luna were blindsided by the return of the Masters of Equus. The cult of power-mad alicorns, thought to have been banished from Equestria forever, appeared in the middle of the Princesses' battle for supremacy, and caged them away. The rest of Equestria quickly fell to their might. Even the fearsome Discord was forced to his knees before them. All of Equestria was enslaved, and an era of misery began.

Now, one thousand years later, a lone unicorn mare has learned of a creature that might be able to overthrow the Masters. A creature immune to magic, overwhelming in size and strength, sealed away for centuries uncounted. A creature of ultimate evil: the Smooze.

Unfortunately for Starlight Glimmer, in trying to ensure the creature's obedience, she modified the summoning ritual a bit too far.

Because of her meddling, the soul of a recently-deceased human is pulled from Limbo, and given life, but not exactly a body. Now he has to help her save the world, or face obliteration.

Not much of a choice, is it?

Inspired by Pen Mightier and Bucking Nonsense, the legends who – to my knowledge – popularized the "human in villain's body becomes Equestria's savior" genre. May your inkwells never run dry.

The Sparkle family has always been known for it's lineage of specialized magi, but their latest prodigy discovers an art that might surpass even that of her beloved mentor.

Harmony has guided ponies for ages, but on the other side of that coin, another source of power fueled creation just as much.

A young mare takes her first steps on that far less traveled path.

Princess Celestia has dispatched her prized pupil, Twilight Sparkle, to oversee preparations for the Summer Sun Celebration. An unfortunate accident, however, cuts her student's life short. Now another must recover the Elements in her stead, or else Equus will be plunged into eternal night.

With so many of those "X becomes Y in Equestria" Fics bouncing around, I got an idea for one of my own that just wouldn't go away. Rather than let it distract me from my writing any longer, I decided to take the idea, put my personal twist on it, and get to writing! The story is already 100% finished, Epilogue and everything, so you don't have to wait long for updates like my other stories.

A young and emotionally tortured Twilight Sparkle refuses to face facts. The same insanity that pushed her to the brink when she made that unforgivable error in judgment now compels her to fix it. Twilight will stop at nothing to get back in Celestia's good graces.

No, that's not right. She won't stop there, either.

Stress is driving Princess Twilight Sparkle crazy, but at least she seems able to regain control of herself once per week.

Oddly enough, Twilight's friends would love to put a stop to that... but Twilight controls a lot more than she realizes.

Even when it hurts, there are times it pays to lose control.

There is an unspoken code, of sorts, among healers. You will never hear one directly mention death, as though voicing it might have the power to draw it near. If one is not paying attention, they might come to the conclusion that death does not exist in Equestria.

Fluttershy is here to tell you otherwise.

She's tired of giving friendship another chance.

She's tired of listening to Twilight's excuses for them to get back together.

She just wants to stay in her own house, do her own research, to simply live in peace.

But of course, that doesn't happen.
