So, if you've been redirected from either of the stories...
Then hello there, fine folks! All should be explained in the answers below!
What is the 'sequel'ness of my 'Determination' to be to APGW (A Prophecy Gone Wrong)?
Basically, the gist of it is this:
APGW is intended as a comedy fic revolving around one letter each chapter. That's what it was based off of. The story however is a little more complex, which I'll explain later on.
Determination, on the other hand, is my 'serious' fic. It is a mystery/adventure story following Moon Dancer after the events of Amending Fences. Except it's not a simple divergence on that single episode. No, the main event which started the split off of canon is in APGW, where Twilight finds out that the Prophecy may be interpreted differently. In that story, Twilight releases this information to the general public, causing widespread chaos.
This is continued in Determination, where a couple of ponies decide to investigate the matter a bit further. Of course, I haven't revealed who these ponies are, but let's just say Celestia isn't the only one to have though that Moon Dancer might be a potential host for the Nightmare - which is shown in the second chapter of APGW.
How related are these two stories together?
This may seem like a similar question, but hang on with me for a few minutes.
Basically, I'm pulling a Scott Cawthon here and saying that both are just different takes on a single series of events. However, I'm going to go further than him and say that they are parallel universes. Basically, they all follow the same overarching goals, but focused on different ponies and events. Some events will be different in both stories, and the ponies would definitely act differently in both stories, but there are similarities in both.
Sometimes, I'll put a snippet of information in one story which would make sense in the other. Most of the time, this snippet will be in APGW, to develop on Determination.
Does this make both of my stories confusing? Yes.
Do I give two flying hoops about this? No.
Deal with it.
