Equestria is a barren land trapped in perpetual sunset.

Broken, alone, afraid, and recalling only faint memories of her former life, a Hollow Pony awakens from her dreamless slumber. Lost in the shattered ruins of a hauntingly familiar world, she shambles onward in a quest to find herself, before she loses herself.

(A Pony story, heavily inspired by and using elements from Dark Souls/Elden Ring. Will update weekly, one chapter every Sunday. Praise the Sun!)

What was supposed to be a once-in-a-lifetime field trip with Sunset Shimmer turned into a horrifying struggle for survival—one that left hundreds dead and a city razed to the ground. Kukri's come home to Freeport. If only it was that easy to leave all the memories of Northmarch behind.

Eight decades ago, the Centauri Kingdom landed its army on the shores of Vanhoover, in hopes of bringing Equestria to its knees and taking over the land. There, in Northwest Equestria, the 2nd Division of the "Clementine" Corps, 4th Equestrian Army stood as the first line of defense.

Prior to this state of war, Lt. Zip Jetscream was assigned to command the 3rd Platoon of the unblooded A Company, "Wild Rice" Battalion, 2nd Brigade, 2nd Division.

Split off from the division during the disastrous Retreat to the Galloping Gorge, Lt. Jetscream and his platoon flee south into the Unicorn Range. Until the rest of the 4th Equestrian Army and other Equestrian forces can assemble, they find they are the only thing between the Centauri Army and the fastest road to Canterlot.

Check out the Appendix for The Virgin Company, updated as the story moves along. Includes character designs and platoon arrangement. Contains spoilers.

Sheogorath. The Prince of Madness. A man who has grown bored with his own world. When he brings his insanity to a land of peace, the Royal Sisters find themselves thrust into his world. A land of perpetual war and chaos. Survival is the least of their problems. If they are to find each other and return home, they must call upon the aid of a hero of prophecy. A hero that is said to rival the power of the sun itself. They must find him and prevent the destruction of two dimensions in the process. Little do they know how mentally unequipped this hero will be for both of them...

(The Dragonborn in this is going to be based on the default Nord look to make the story flow a little better.)

(And just as any author on this site will tell you, be gentle with me, this is my first fic, so there's no guarantee that it will exactly be perfect.)

Nopony chose this life for me.

I wander the open roads, weathering rain, sleet, snow, and wind. I stop at towns along the way, give a short performance, and then leave. Why do I do this? Is it because I have something to prove? Am I running from a forgotten past, always looking over my shoulder? Do I have something to hide?

Or maybe, just maybe, is it because I simply like the open road?

This story is a sequel to A Song of Storms: Of Skies Long Forgotten

It has been twenty years since the fall of the Cirran Empire, and Commander Hurricane has led the pegasus pony tribe into a comfortable role in accordance with the Tri-Pony Compact. But a supernatural blizzard without end brings forth the suppressed hatreds that have festered among the three tribes, and the resulting famine threatens to eradicate all; earth pony, unicorn, and pegasus alike. With a bloody war looming on the horizon and the fate of their ponies at stake, the three tribes must find a way to survive together, or they will assuredly die alone.

Sequel to "Of Skies Long Forgotten." Reading of that story is not absolutely necessary to understand what is going on, but it is strongly recommended for you to understand the references.
