Apple Bloom's parents died years ago in an accident, when she was only a baby. That's what Applejack and Big Macintosh have always told her, and even though they must have suffered a great deal they still managed to raise her properly and give her all the love her parents couldn't.

But her brother and sister have been hiding a secret, through shame, ever since their parents' deaths, and now the time has finally come to tell Apple Bloom who she really is. But how will the youngest Apple react to what really happened? Can their family bonds survive the truth?

And after pony couple were attacked by a strange pony-like timberwolf, other decide to investigate. It's soon discovered that Applejack has been changed to Timberjack. And the only way to stop her is to enlist the help of a friend of the night...Flutterbat!

After Applejack loses her family as the result of a fire, the farm pony goes into a deep depression. Because of her grief Applejack neglects taking care of the farm, which then goes to waste.

Seeing her sadness Applejack's friends feel bad for her but the farm pony interprets this as pity, thus shutting herself off from the rest of her friends.

However things go wrong when Applejack starts to hear the voices of her family talking to her. Was the fire an accident?

This was inspired by the song When She Loved Me by Sarah McLachlan.

As I sit on this branch, looking at the town through the mangled, black branches, I began thinking about why I came here. About everything I left behind on Earth.

I wish I'd never have come here...
