Sometimes it takes a literal thunderbolt to make you realize just how wrong things have been going in your life, especially when it comes to interpersonal relationships.

After a long night at a bar, and with an unexpected visitor awaiting her at home, Delta Vee is about to experience just that.

This story is entirely based on Shinodage's ask blog telling the story of Delta Vee and her family.
Needless to say, all credit for the characters and places used in this story (as well as the cover image) goes to Shino himself. This story is merely an attempt to delve deeper into the events and relationships hinted at in the blog's storyline.

My name is Canvas. I remember because I wrote it in the corner of the white box. It takes twelve steps to get from the cot to the wall. And the lights hurt my eyes.

(Note: The story isn't in color because I decided to try this without the gimmick! But I still recommend reading the GDocs version.)

Stress is driving Princess Twilight Sparkle crazy, but at least she seems able to regain control of herself once per week.

Oddly enough, Twilight's friends would love to put a stop to that... but Twilight controls a lot more than she realizes.

Even when it hurts, there are times it pays to lose control.

Princess Celestia is never seen without a smile on her face or a laugh in her eyes. Nopony has ever questioned it. Why should they? A warm bath washes away everything, even a plastered on smile.

From the stone age to the modern world, Celestia guides her little ponies into the future. And she needs to keep playing. Just one more turn.
