Owen awakes one morning to find tiny ponies populating his home. Like any rational person, he proceeds to cry like a little girl.

Often called a psychotic, meth dealing hillbilly with a habit of untamed violence and murder sprees, Trevor Philips is someone that no one wants to mess with. The body pile he leaves behind and then sets on fire just for the heck of it proves that. But after a particularly deadly drug deal gone wrong, Trevor finds himself in a place even his disturbed mind has difficulty comprehending.

The feeling is mutual for the ponies.

All was peaceful in Ponyville. Private's friend Big Macintosh was going to marry the love of his life Fluttershy. But right after the couple make it official, a mysterious pony interupts the ceremony. Private fails to save his friends from the hoof of this evil pony. Now Private is forced to play the game of Shadowhoof. If he doesn't solve five mysteries before time runs out, Private will lose his friends. Just who is Shadowhoof? What does he want with Private? Above all, will Private be able to stop him?

This is a lipogrammatic story. That is, a story in which I did not lay hands on that most common symbol, “E”. You shall not find a solitary copy of that symbol at any point in this story, including in this summary (barring that singular anomaly, naturally). I did this odd thing as a trial to my ability as an author—it's a workout, if you will.

The Wonderbolt Academy is home to many a cadet seeking to enter the prestigious flying team. What it's not usually home to, is a dead body that appears to be struck by lightning. But it gets stranger from there, as a mysterious sword cut is on the body as well. It's up to Private once again to investigate teaming up with Rainbow Dash. But Rainbow's rival Lightning Dust has an interesting thing to say. The murderer, bore a striking resemblance to Raiden Bolt...

The Manehatten Maulers Star Hoofball player Marty Ball mysteriously threw one of the most important games of the season against the Canterlot Alicorns. Hours later, he's found dead in his locker room. Private comes to investigate but soon finds trouble in a new foe, the new Chief of Police Gunry Insight, who's determined to make sure Private stays out of cases. Secret deals, cutthroat coaches, and a lost child all dot this case. Just how far is one willing to go to get what they want?

Popular dance instructor Tappy Hoof is found unconscious in Ponyville's park. Covered in blood and confused over what happened last night, she calls out to her friend Cheerilee for aid. The teacher turns to Ponyville's star detective to solve the mystery. As the mystery unfolds Private becomes faced with a dark choice. Is it worth stopping a criminal, if one's reputation would be destroyed in the process forever?
