Just about everypony in Ponyville knows Scootaloo. She's your normal, carefree pegasus foal who crusades for her cutie mark, zips around town on her scooter, and looks up to her idol Rainbow Dash. But what if that's not all there is to her? Scootaloo worries that her friends will find out that she's not the foal they know and love, or that she's not even a foal at all. But, when her secret does come out, their reactions might surprise her.

In a world full of magic, mere words can pose a deadly threat. When simply reading a sign can instantly infect the unwary, and cases start to turn up all around Ponyville, Twilight Sparkle casts the only spell she can find that can give her the time she needs to find the cause of the plague. But then she has to figure out how to stop the epidemic... without being able to read.

When Twilight arranges a group camp-out, the ponies end up discussing their dream stallions around the campfire. Everyone is surprised by what they learn about each other, and the two ponies least interested in romance find they have a lot in common.

Originally written in February of 2011 and posted first to /co/ then EqD, this was my first story and one of the original pieces of TwiDash. This has been edited for inclusion on FIMFiction, with thorough proofreading & editing by Double Dash. Princess Celestia is an ageless, immortal being. Almost entirely unique except for her sister Luna, and she was gone for a thousand years. One would assume that no other pony in the entire world could possibly be able to truly relate. One would be wrong. There is one other. He's no all-powerful alicorn. His greatest power is his intelligence. He comes and goes at will, but always seems to be there during her worst moment. Sometimes he has a different face. Once he was a unicorn. And at times, it seems she meets him out of order. But he's a fantastic friend. Simply fantastic.
