These are the misadventures of Octavia and Vinyl Scratch.

Vinyl Scratch and Octavia are on holiday when they are separated from their tour group, and get lost in the jungle. Hope you survive the experience, ladies!

Octavia was always one for competition. Unless, that is, the competition is forced upon her by the mare of her nightmares. And it's not that she's ever had a problem with Canterlot nightlife; she just has a problem with ponies named Vinyl Scratch. Not that anypony knows why, though, and Octavia isn't about to share embarrassing secrets.

Octavia Philharmonica has everything she could ever need: A successful career, a loving marefriend, and peace of mind. But what happens when an old nemesis rears its ugly head, seeking to derail her life once again? The old Octavia would have swallowed her anger and moved on. The new Octavia has the influence of Vinyl Scratch, and she wants to kill that mother-bucker.

When Vinyl Scratch splits up with her long time partner, Green Star, can anything or anypony make her happy again? She is told by her friend to return to ponyville to get some rest, so she does, but somepony has their heart set on her. (rated teen for older content in later chapters)

The first time I saw her eyes, they struck a chord within my soul. One that I have never experienced before. It was like I was coming alive for the first time.

But it was only a glimpse, and then she was gone. I am not going to let this go, though. I will discover who she is, why she is here... and why fate almost brought us together.

Writers, Artists, Musicians; we all fear it. We dread the words, the single word that has doomed thousands of careers. That point where a creative genius is just stuck and can't move. "Block." It's been a good run, but Vinyl just doesn't have it in her anymore. For the longest time, she has been struggling to produce anything of value. Is this it then? Is this the end of DJ-PON3?

Not if Octavia has anything to say about it. Brace yourself, ponies. It's going to be one wild ride.

After realising her dream was not playing in the Canterlot elite Octavia moves back to Manehattan. Though how will Vinyl react when her former best friend in the world comes back after not having spoken in five years? Will their relationship ever be the same, or have they both changed?

A/N After I had to cancel my old VinylxTavi fic I decided that I would start a new one. There's really no similarities from the last fic to this so don't fret if you have not/have read it. Now I'll have to give a huge shoutout to NotTheOP for editing my story once more. That guy is my savior!

Why are Octavia and Vinyl living in Ponyville at the time of their interview? Don't they live in Canterlot? Doesn't Octavia play for formal events? Doesn't Vinyl play in nightclubs? Where the hell did the Bass Cannon come from?
