Twilight's curiosity pushes her to go where no bookworm has gone before: on dates. Dates with lots of unfamiliar (and not so unfamiliar) mares. It goes about as well as you'd expect.

When Octavia is dragged to one of Canterlot's more respectable nightclubs by some work friends, she finds a whole new world of music that threatens to shatter her pre-existing theories about musical quality. All it takes is one pony, a DJ whose music transcends the barriers of conventional genre classification. Will Octavia take the leap of faith into the unknown world of modern music? And will the mysterious DJ be there to catch her if she falls?

This is a tale of a fateful evening in Canterlot, and a glimpse into the personality and character of a pony for whom good looks and grace are just the tip of the iceberg.

Princess Luna has returned to Equestria and made peace with the conditions that led to her dismissal, but despite a thousand years of progress, ponies still shun the night and seek refuge in the sun. Refusing to allow herself to fall into the same pattern that brought on the fury of Nightmare moon a thousand years earlier, Luna seeks advice in Twilight, and in turn explains to her the true origins of the land of Equestria.

Twilight finds all this studying of magic rarely lends itself an opportunity to use it. Until a certain arrogant unicorn shows up to tout her abilities. It's the perfect opportunity to show the town her magical prowess...almost too perfect.

With each others help, Spike and Gilda fight to find their place in a world that will not accept them.
