However, what most ponies don't know is that Octavia, a high-class socialite, isn't exactly much better herself, despite countless rumours about a liason between her and a certain DJ.

Now, drawn back to the upper-classes that she tried so desperately to get away from, can Twilight Sparkle find solace, and companionship, from one of the very socialite ponies of her past that she is so desperate to escape?

SYNOPSIS
The Cuite Mark Crusaders, with Applejack as their caretaker, head out on a train bound for Appleloosa, ending up in an eerie ghost town. Although things seem nice enough at first, it doesn't take long for the fillies to realize something is amiss. Applejack does her best to protect Apple Bloom, Sweetie Bell and Scootaloo, but the young fillies' curious nature gets the best of them. The Cutie Mark Crusaders become reluctant heroes as they slowly uncover the mystery shrouding the darkest corners of an ancient town called Happy Hollow.

This is the first story I'm submitting to fimfiction and I personally thank you if you plan on taking the time to read it. I've been working on this story for some time now, and I plan on releasing new chapters as soon as possible. This particular story will consist of five chapters. This is the first work of prose that I've created involving ponies, although I do write a web comic called "Ask Crapplejack", which you may or may not have heard of. Hearth's Warming is a time for friends and family to come together, celebrate harmony, and welcome the new year. Nyx is looking forward to just this as she rides the train to Canterlot with Spike and Twilight. She's going to meet her extended family for the first time and wants nothing more than to make a good impression. Yet, the sheen of the holidays can't hide the trouble caused by meddling grandparents, relentless reporters, and a paranoid uncle.

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but what if all who behold you see naught but a monster? Given the chance, can this view change? Sometimes, it just takes one person to reach out...and help.

As I'm sure you can tell by the dates of submission, this story was started quite some time ago. Instead of completely ignoring things that have happened since season 3 on, this will be an alternate reality that branched from shortly before Twilight began the path to become an alicorn.

With the help of her friends and a newly-discovered book, Twilight sets out to expose the author of this crime and teach them a lesson in proper grammar. And maybe, just maybe, she'll learn a thing or two about romance along the way.

This was a quick 30 minute write up of an idea that came to mind a few days ago that just would not leave me alone. It is not meant to be taken serious in any way, mostly a little bit of darker humor that hopefully will bring a laugh or two to your day.

Vera Valeri is a bio-engineered consumer "My Little Pony"; a living, sentient toy. Living alone with her adoptive brother, life has been easy on her. For many others like her, it has not. When a bombing at an equinoid-rights rally upends her life, Vera finds herself without an anchor: cast out into an indifferent and unforgiving world with one chance at proving both to herself and others that she is as deserving of respect as those around her.

Unfortunately for Vera, there are many people out there who do not care for what she stands for, and some may go farther than others to see the status quo stand.
