The song put me in the mind of a swift and passionate love that burns out quickly, a love doomed to fail from the start. And here it is.

Many ponies who join the royal guard usually know what that "special thing" they do is. but what if that specialty was serving as a guard?, well for Dawn Blade that's exactly what happened. But after a few years of service the royal sisters are worried that he is putting his duty before everything else in his life and decide to try and show him there is more to life than simply serving all day every day. but will they be able to give him something to live for instead of something to die for

After Hearts and Hooves Day, Twilight goes to Canterlot to make a confession to her one special pony. However, when she does, Twilight discovers that Princess Celestia has long been under the effects of a love curse.

Edge used to be human. She used to be a man. Then one day, she was foolish enough to break into a Conversion Bureau to steal some Potion. Believing it all to be a plot to 'scoop out the brains of humans', he downs it. She wakes up as a pegasus pony with an audience with the princesses...

For her crimes, she is sentenced to community service.

How does Equestria survive with so few males? How is it that no ponies ever seem to mate? Answers come when mating season leads all of your favorite ponies to receive their call to duty and become the parents of the next generation of ponies.

Sleepy Head is an Earth pony that sleeps throughout the day but has trouble sleeping at night. So it was only a matter of time before Princess Celestia came to him with a job: keep Princess Luna company. Sounds easy enough, but as Sleepy Head interacts with the Queen of Night, he discovers secrets that will change his and Luna's life forever.

Artrageous, a retired Wonderbolt, is aimless and attempting to find meaning again in his life. He is nudged in a direction, then caught up in the strong undertow of a larger menace spreading across Equestria. He and his new friends find themselves drawn in, but only on the periphery as the mane 6 and the princesses take charge of the issue. Reluctant to let everything just drop and be handled by others, they struggle to provide relevant assistance while being backstage to the events.

Incorporates some personalities and plots inspired by events on the Equestrian Dawn mush.
