In an Equestria where Princess Luna was never possessed by the Nightmare the world thrived under both Celestia and Luna's rule. As such, the timeline diverted. After rigorous evaluations, Sunset Shimmer was chosen by Princess Celestia to be her student. Twilight Sparkle, having been glossed over by the Sun Princess, was selected by Princess Luna to be her pupil. One day, the Immortal Sisters send their protégés on a mission to a small town. When the villain named Starlight Glimmer appears all of their lives will be changed forever.

Being split up in the vast multiverse whose existence they've only discovered now, was already hard enough to handle. But they are now forced to fight against all odds and new enemies for the hope of getting back home.

Inspiration.
First off, I'm a huge fan of the MLP Time Loop and Infinite loops, this is my idea of a time travel story.

As for the time event and title, my first thought was Superman flying around the world so fast he turned back time, I threw in 2013's Flash Point Paradox for good measure (no I haven't seen the new movie)

As Princess Luna’s youngest daughter, free spirited, freshly minted college dropout Princess Cassiopeia constantly feels overshadowed by her beautiful older sister, Neoma, and is still unsure about her place in the world. She often gets into trouble by constantly defying Luna and pushing every boundary that stands in her way.

As the royals gather in Silver Shoals for the summer, Cassie revels in the recklessness and freedom of the ocean, finding friendship in dolphins and other sea creatures. She has formed a uniquely close bond with a pod of magnificent orcas, and she often escapes to the sea when she needs to clear her head. Cassie’s life becomes more confusing when she discovers that she has a very special gift: The ability to summon dolphins and orcas.

As she tries to figure out how to use her newfound power to benefit Equestria, Cassie must also navigate her complicated relationship with Neoma, though the two sisters are completely different in many ways.

Dutiful, serious, steady, and dedicated to her role as a princess, Neoma often becomes frustrated with Cassie's wild personality. The two sisters have grown apart since Neoma became a wife and mother. They fight constantly throughout the summer, but Cassie still hopes they can heal their fragile relationship as Neoma struggles to come to terms with her failing marriage.

This trip will open fresh wounds, and healing may come from an unexpected source.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This story takes place in an alternate universe where Nightmare Moon never existed, so Luna was never banished.

During her four-year sabbatical in Ponyville, Princess Luna unexpectedly becomes pregnant and gives birth to a daughter, a little blue unicorn she names Trixie. Though the princess loves the filly dearly, she worries about what will happen if Celestia discovers that her sister is the mother of an illegitimate foal. Desperate and heartbroken, Luna reluctantly surrenders the foal to an orphanage, swearing that she will one day return for her daughter, and that Luna will always love her—no matter the cost.

Rose is a talented young unicorn who has never felt like she belonged anywhere. Still struggling with the loss of her mother, Rose craves a sense of purpose—one that she soon finds when Princess Luna takes Rose under her wing as her protégée after she recognizes the filly’s gift for magic and uniquely kind heart.

Nightmare Moon has been vanquished, and the beautiful, gentle Princess Luna now stands in her place. The princess of the night knows she should be thrilled that she has been freed from the prison of her own inner turmoil, but she now has another demon to face: Her beloved daughter, Circe, whose arrival in Equestria Celestia warily allows at Luna’s request.

Having been brought up on the moon, Princess Circe is beautiful, haughty, strong, manipulative, fiercely loyal to her mother, and every bit as powerful as the royal sisters. The young alicorn must cope with the culture shock of her new home in addition to the presence of her aunt Celestia, whom she despises for banishing Nightmare Moon in the first place. Circe stands firmly beside her beloved mother, but she longs for a world without Celestia. Gradually, she fuels Luna’s desire for two things: Celestia’s death, and a government in which the beauty of the night is worshipped and adored.

It doesn’t take long for the mistress of darkness and her daughter to dream of a revolution. The New Lunar Empire will soon rise if everything goes according to plan.
