The battle against Opaline has been won, and the two groups of friendship-defending ponies are squeezing in the last few minutes of time they can spend together. Misty in particular has questions regarding her new Cutie Mark, so Applejack sends her to some experts.

In the New Generation movie, Canterlogic has only been around for 20 moons. So why does Hitch say he stops Sunny every year? Just how long has Hitch been stopping Sunny from sneaking into things? And why is it so important, not just for her sake, but for all of Equestria?

Here's a look at the backstory leading up to Sunny and Hitch's confrontation in the New Generation movie, and also on some of the mysteries surrounding Sunny's life in Maretime Bay in general.

This is an outrageously stupid story written purely as a sequel/parody of Seer's brilliant horror fiction Onkalo, which is itself a sequel to Flashgen's brilliant horror fiction Pneuma (this links to an older, Google docs version of the story than is presently available on fimfic, and is the version on which Onkalo is based). Reading these stories is not only imperative to enjoying this fiction, but is highly recommended in general. Twilight's been having weird, unfamiliar urges ever since she became an alicorn. Like an intense desire to grow flowers, or the fact she can't stop chewing on her wings when she's distracted. As it turns out, you can't just suddenly inherit the magic of all three pony tribes without getting the instincts to match, and instincts can be a powerful thing. Doubly so when you're not used to them, and especially when they're telling you that your best friend with the gorgeous wings would make the perfect partner to share a nest with.

The Unity Crystals had been acting oddly for a few days, piquing Sunny and her group’s interest. The artifacts' power was unknown, holding untold secrets of the ancient world within them, but what it bestows upon them is beyond any of their wildest imagination. With endless questions, and an absolute need for more information, the ponies begin a journey to find some kind of an answer.

Leading them to the forgotten ends of Equestria, the path to their goal sends them through the ancient world where the foundations of friendship itself were laid. Though the answers they search for may be better off unanswered.

Sunny knew of the ancient world, the Elements of Harmony, and the six ponies that saved Equestria time and time again. She'd learned how the Element bearers' stories started, and how they ended, all except one - Twilight Sparkle. She always dreamed about learning more of her hero, but never would have imagined how she and her friends would soon become entwined in her tale.

Time can do many things, and for the idol of friendship, it can be her undoing.

This story was started and heavily planned when only Chapter 2 of Make Your Mark was available.

Twilight had been dating Rainbow for some time now, but didn't have the opportunity to spend as much time as she wanted with her. Now was the perfect moment! Her schedule was free, and she was going to spend the whole day with her!
