While returning from a political summit in the dragon lands, King Thorax and Prince Pharynx navigate their way through a dense woods. When gnarled branches and twisting shadows take shape, the brothers find themselves holding their ground against the changeling's former tyrant. This story takes place after the events from the episode Power Ponies

Shining Armor and Twilight are spending a few days with their parents for a reprieve and one night the stallion walks into his sister's bedroom. There he finds an odd book labeled "How To Train a Princess" from the peculiar Enchanted Bookstore. Without realizing it he is magically transformed into an alicorn princess and now has to complete a course of strange classes within the tome. The courses will be hard and many will take days within the strange universe that this book constructed. He will have to pass a final test in which he may either turn back into a stallion or remain a princess alicorn forever.

When a dark and mysterious warrior pony crashes the Friendship Festival and demands the four alicorn princesses give up their magic to her, Celestia responds in the only way she knows how to anymore.

She does nothing and expects Twilight to fix it all.

The very first changeling cocoon spa is open for business in Ponyville. When Shining comes to visit Twilight, he finds a flyer advertising the new business. Considering his own past experiences, Shining isn't sure if this is a good idea. To see if his concerns have merit, he goes to visit the shop with Twilight, and it takes a turn he didn't expect.

Odd Wonder is a young stallion with an interest in things most ponies would find weird or would avoid.

One of his interests leads him to visit the Changeling Hive to seek an audience with King Thorax. Upon hearing what Odd wants, Thorax directs him to Pharynx for assistance. Only problem is Pharynx doesn't like entertaining guests.

Rarity loves her friends but she really wished they had asked her opinion before deciding she was their girlfriend.
