This story is a sequel to A Mad Glimmer

The plan had been perfect, taking everything from Twilight Sparkle and trapping her in a no-win situation. Then Twilight showed Starlight the alleged consequences of her actions.

But there's a bit more to the story. Starlight Glimmer has paid a heavy price, but there's one more debt to call in.

An alternative ending to the season 5 finale.

Starlight Glimmer destroys the time scroll that allows Twilight to return to Cloudsdale. With the sonic rainboom stopped, her plan has succeeded, and this time, Twilight can't come back to try and stop her again. She thinks it's over, but when Twilight pulls her into the present, Starlight finally sees what her actions have done.

The final moments are at hoof, and Princess Celestia ventures forth with the Elements of Harmony to stop a dire foe once and for all. However, knowing that the end draws near, the Princess of the Sun has one final question. Why?

A week after Starlight gives up her plans for revenge, Twilight finds her at the map with the time spell once again...
