After performing a spell that shouldn't have been for the sake of sanity, the unicorn, Twilight Sparkle, discovers that she is more than Celestia had said.

Now, Twilight must face frightening facts and train to fight with help from Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. She must learn who she really is.

Be it bloodthirsty beasts waiting for their next meal to walk by or gaping ravines shrouded by the total darkness, there is no shortage of reasons to stay out. However, as a lone filly will soon learn, the forest itself pulses with a life all its own, one that few know of and fewer still have ever witnessed.

A stand alone story. Celestia chooses a successor and gives the position of Princess of the Sun to her and losing her immortal life. The New Princess sends word to Twilight and Spike who visit the Celestia. one last time.

This story takes place several years after The Long Vacation, one of my earlier stories and is tied to it, its power may be lost if the Long Vacation is not read first, though, reading just chapter 7 would fix that. Its a very sad story and my first attempt at tragedy/drama.

Luna's moon does nothing to aid Twilight in her sleep, especially when she is too preoccupied with Spike. Journey into the mind of the elemental bearer of magic as we try to decipher her thoughts about her number one assistant. Will a heart break or grow? Will she get sleep?
