Sweetie Belle has afternoon tea and a pleasant chat with an incomprehensible being from beyond the bounds of reality.

Surprisingly, nothing about this situation seems unusual to her.

Living in the same town as Twilight Sparkle isn't always a pleasant experience. In fact, sometimes it kind of sucks.

This story is canon within the Chase-Verse.

Each night that her foalsitter Cadance comes over, filly Twilight Sparkle can hear ghosts in the air vents coming to gobble her up.

The only thing scarier than the ghosts is her father's raised eyebrow.

All Twilight had to do was finish Starswirl the Bearded's final spell. She didn't have to become undead, seal her soul in the Elements of Harmony, or enlist her friends in an effort to fix everything... but you have to play the hand you're dealt.

Oneshotober 2014 Story 1

Morning Breeze. A mare in the esteemed royal guard. Certainly not a rarity, but still it's an accomplishment nonetheless. She has served the night guard to the best of her ability, and though never personally standing guard around her princess, she takes great pride in her duty. So when she learns that she is to be reassigned to make way for the return of the Lunar guard, naturally, she is a bit upset. Especially considering the Lunar guard is made up of thestrals, bat ponies of ancient times that disappeared after the fall of Nightmare Moon. Her irritation at being replaced by, thestrals, of all creatures, has her frustrated. But a chance encounter in the halls of Canterlot castle may reveal more than what she perceives.

Twilight Sparkle expected parliament to be exciting. Perhaps a foreign dignitary would visit, and some international gaff would require their immediate attention.

Perhaps some terrible war was looming on the horizon, one that only herself, or her fellow princesses could solve, be it through might, tact or subtlety.

Surely, attending parliament with Celestia would be fun!
