When Twilight takes Starlight through the time portal, they arrive to the dead remnants of Equestria. Among those remnants, there is one lost soul...

An idea that I got while watching S5 finale.

Yesterday, Twilight Sparkle was hot in pursuit of dangerous stolen magic, her friends at her side and Ahuizotl in her sights. Today, she is imprisoned aboard a wondrous and horrifying city, hurtling through the empty void of space and surrounded by creatures and a world she barely comprehends and everything she thought she knew is upside-down - a world where a legion of ponies serve as seeming slaves.

Yesterday, Santana Guerro was finishing up an ordinary investigation - another day, another case, another synthetic assistant assigned to be by his side. Today, an ancient, living space probe from a lost world is in his office - the furthest possible thing from routine, and certain to be far from easy to close the case on.

Both of them need answers. Secrets are in play - secrets that others will kill to be the one keeping. But to find a way out, they’re going to have to understand each other.

Boo is your typical rebellious youth out to carve her own path in life and embrace counter-culture; if only on principle! But when her best friend shows up to school acting nothing at all like the filly she knew, Boo starts to wonder if there might be something she's missing about the world around her...

*** A one-off that was going to be my entry for the 2023 Cyberpunk Equestria Story Contest ***
Except that it came out feeling more "Black Mirror" than "Cyberpunk"...
No reason to let a perfectly good short story languish on my computer though, right?
Enjoy!

Heat.

Hitch hated the heat.

The humid summer air would crawl its way underneath his skin, beads of sweat snaking tiny trails through his fur. The heat messed with his head and prevented him from doing his job properly.

Not to mention his splitting headache.

Been going through my older unfinished notesapp stories and cleaning some of them up! I think I might’ve gotten a little flowery or heavyhanded with the prose at some times but I’m happy with it. Not quiiite sure if the horror tag applies here but I was aiming for a feeling of slight dread/slow realisation so I feel as though it’s applicable.

It was supposed to be so simple for Grim Fate. A necromancer from a far-away land, she offered her services to King Sombra and easily rose through the ranks of his forces owing to her magical skill. With legions of undead thralls under her command, she'd rule the world as one of Sombra's Legates. All that stood in the way was the Lunar Empire to the south.

Eleven months had passed since the Lunar-Crystal War began. After some initial victories in the first weeks, the war had been nothing but a slow, agonising retreat. Now the Lunars had the Crystal City itself surrounded, and for the last week what disorganised and depleted Crystal legions existed in the city could barely resist.

Now pinned down in the midst of the war's final battle, Grim must put in her all if she wants to escape Lunar justice. Sombra himself may not survive, but Grim won't give up without a fight.

Takes place in my New Lunar Millennium alternate universe. More information can be found here, but no prior knowledge of my AU beyond the general concept is required to read this story.

Equestria's history is full of wonders, both magical and mechanical. But only twice has it succeeded in implementing AI.

The latest iteration is an apple farmer whose resurrection is celebrated by everypony except herself. Because really, once every part has been replaced, what is left that can measure a mare?

An entry for the 2023 Sci-Fi Contest, where it nabbed a respectable fourth place. Yay, existential robot ponies!

Written for the Science Fiction Contest II!

Remember when my fimfic flair used to say 'they might as well be humans'? That was directly inspired by a comment FanOfMostEverything left- on my last sci fi contest submission. I don't think I've changed much.

One friend in particular seems to hold the answers.
