Sunset Shimmer has just graduated from Canterlot High School, and while that would normally be cause for celebration, it fills her only with a nameless dread as her friends begin to scatter to the winds to pursue their futures. With the latent magic of the human world contained and categorized and the Rainboom's idyllic days of schoolwork over, she finds herself without aim and listless, as though something important is missing from her life.

Fortunately for her, Princess Twilight Sparkle might know what ails her.

So. First time posting on the site after a VERY long period of lurking and reading and enjoying the tales this fandom can produce. To my surprise, I found a dearth of a certain subset of story that I wanted to read, and so I have done this, to put my thoughts to words. After all, it is said that one should write the story they want to read, yes? I've been inspired by a variety of stories like it that came before, and I hope to equal their quality.

I'll try to update roughly once every couple of weeks; please be patient with me and I hope you give this tale a once-over. Pre-emptively tagging with AU, that I might diverge freely from what may come if needed.

Spike decides he wants some spending money, so he gets a job as an assistant to the local DJ, Vinyl Scratch.

What starts off as a part-time 'errand boy' job, quickly evolves into a close friendship, and may become something more in time. Apparently, they have more in common than they ever would have thought.

Big Mac doesn’t say much. That’s just his way. However, when a routine medical exam reveals he’s going to lose his voice, he decides he’d better get his last round of speaking in while he still can. Saying a few last words to his friends (and asking out a certain schoolteacher) is all he planned on doing. If only he understood the full repercussions of opening his big mouth.

Fallow Heart, a dark orange Pegasus, has dreamed of working at Abmarego since his colthood. When he finally discovered his talent in genetics, he thought that he had a sure shot of landing his dream job as a Memory Core Collector. Sadly, due to the sample of DNA within his blood test, he was given the lowly job of a janitor pony. His life seemed to be going in a downward spiral, at least it was until he got mixed up in a secret battle.

Luna has doubts on her feelings to bring along everlasting darkness, torn between jealousy of her sister’s adoration and fear of disappointing her.

However, a strange creature comes and gives her the motivation she requires to make her choice.

Like most of the stuff I write, it's a small idea that just popped into my head that I figured I'd share.

Lyra has a secret. It's becoming a bit of a problem, but perhaps one mare could help her out.

Upon discovering that her brother has a fillyfriend, Applejack is making her mission to find out who this mystery mare is. Joining her on this mission is her best friend, Rainbow Dash.

By some fortune, Shining Armor was on leave and decided to return to Ponyville to talk to his Little Sister Best Friend Forever, Twilight Sparkle, just as the group went to fight the equalists spread friendship.

He is greeted instead by his dragon-bro, who informs him of his limited knowledge of the situation. A few mugs of cider and a poorly placed bet later, Big Mac shows up.

It is the author's expressed opinion that a good time was had by all.

This is the first story I've submitted anywhere, but don't be gentle. I actually want to know why it sucks (or if it doesn't). I wrote this just before the season premier, but then I realized I could change a tiny plot point, and it would be half-way canon.

rated T for mild colt-cuddling... and maybe a few swear words, I can't remember.
Oh, and poor taste in humor.

Snails is a loner, he always has been.
Nopony could ever love the so called "ugliest" colt in class.
Which is probably why he yet has no Hearts and Hooves day cards.
But a twist of event's causes Snails heart to flutter and his future to be questioned.
Will he get the girl, or will he still be lonely?
