Sunset's been troubled the last few days. Graduation looms near and Twilight doesn't even know that her time is running out.

Sunset Shimmer hasn’t been the same for the last few months. She still says that she loves Pinkie Pie, but she doesn’t show it like she used to.

Desperate to rekindle their passion, Pinkie takes Sunset on vacation to sunny Puerto Caballo. With a week of sun, sand and Caribbean fun ahead of them, Pinkie wants nothing more than to spend quality time with Sunset. But Sunset has other plans.

Rainbow Dash, your average girl living in Canterlot, kept making strange things happen randomly without knowing. One day, on her eleventh birthday, she gets an owl telling her that actually she is a witch and needs to go study in Hogwarts, a school for the witches and wizards.
This story is majorly about her first year there.

As Sunset Shimmer was eating her breakfast in her house with her aunts a mysterious letter came in the mail. A letter explaining she was invited to go to the best wizarding school around. Hogwarts

Picking up seven years after the events of "The Friendship Games," Sunset Shimmer is fed up with Equestrian magic, and content to live a normal, though human, life as a private detective. For her, there are no more Elements, no more spells, and certainly no more evils hell bent on world domination. All she wants is a bottle of whiskey, a desk to sit behind, and enough cases to last her a lifetime. Unfortunately, magic has a way of appearing where it's least expected, or wanted. And in her new world, magic is deadly.
A series of magically charged killings leaves the police baffled, and Sunset is reluctantly dragged onto the case when an old lover comes knocking on her door. In order to fight a new enemy, she'll have to deal with old friends and older grudges, and dredge up a past she was certain she'd locked away forever. Throw in government agents, ties to a black market underground, and an inquisitive fashion journalist, and Sunset has never been more in need of a stiff drink, or farther from getting one.
Sucked into a world of new and deadly magic, unsure who she can trust, Sunset Shimmer chases her quarry down a path of ever increasing questions. Who is this mysterious killer? How did they bring magic to this world, and why? And what does the number eleven have to do with it all?

Canterlot High School has just let out for summer break, and it's Sunset's first since the disaster that was the Fall Formal. With guilt of her past actions, worries of mending her relationship with those back home, and homesickness plaguing her mind, Sunset contacts Twilight Sparkle for the first time since the events of the Battle of the Bands, seeking to truly return home for the first time in years.

However, when she arrives back home, things quickly take a turn for the dramatic. With strange happenings going unusually unreported in the heart of Canterlot and a mysteriously familiar figure only Sunset and Twilight seem to notice, her return home may turn out to be much more eventful than she could have ever bargained for.

Twilight and Sunset continue their relationship, leading to many turning points for the two girls.

Mainly, Hearth's Warming and Christmas celebrations, matrimonial worry, and how to make a proper pot of tea.
