In Equestria, the only season ponies can experience until they meet their soul mate is winter. When Sunset crossed over to the human world, she met her soul mate, and was able to experience the other seasons. The problem is, she isn't in Equestria anymore, and her soul mate is human.

And Sunset doesn't want to force that onto Rarity when to humans, the term soul mate applies to something that isn't real.

Against her will(mostly), Starlight agrees to protect Ponyville when Twilight and her other five friends are busy saving the entire world. The unicorn only agreed to this startling position because she actually believed that she wouldn't be doing any saving immediately.

She didn't think villains could pop out of nowhere, but they did, much to her chagrin. It's up to her to defeat them one by one, with her faithful butler--er, friend Spike and Robin...I mean, Trixie at her side.

Falling into a volcano trying to impress people isn't very fun, and while it was quite hot for a very long time, eventually I actually started to feel a tad chilly, after a while though I blacked out, and woke up in a burning field, as a horse no less.

Tirek has returned, but he wasn't alone. Armed with a seeming endless amount of soldiers he prepares to march on Equestria and enslave the ponies. Now the ponies of Equestria must rally their courage and make a stand or become toys for the demented centaur.

While the ponies struggle to meet this foe, Discord has elected to help in his own way and summoned an old Gray Warden named Sereda Aeducan to give the ponies some much needed advise in the art of warfare. Will the always stone-bound dwarf be able to lead these ponies to victory like she did forty years ago? Or will she be brought low by the monstrous task ahead.
