Discord knew this was coming. He knew. So did Princess Twilight. They knew. They saw it coming a mile away. Yet, they let this happen anyway. Why couldn't they just let things stay the same? Who's the bigger fool here?

So this is a pretty simple story I pumped out because I was in a depression-fueled journey through immortality and its repercussions after seeing the finale of the show and realizing we've been right about it all since bucking SEASON 3! But whatever, it's fine, we're all fine. Just so you know I did NOT have any proof readers or editors so if you want to point stuff out that I got wrong, I'll happily fix it. It's been a hundred years since Twilight was crowned. Most of her original friends are gone. Now, only Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy remain, each with a spark of something special keeping them past their time.

But unlike Twilight, neither of them has a claim to true immortality.

Winner of the 15th Quills and Sofas Speedwriting contest. The prompt was "A Worthy End." The contest was a two-parter, and each chapter was written in an hour, and then expanded slightly afterwards.

Fluttershy doesn't worry too much about the strange things happening to her. Coughing up a few petals can't hurt anypony, can it? Hiding an unrequited love won't kill you...will it?

When Discord is faced with the terrible absence of Fluttershy, Celestia offers him a new life with a spell that changes history.

Here Discord never brought chaos to Equestria, he was never turned to stone, and he was never reformed. Technology has advanced in his absence, and now he's in high school with ponies, zebras, griffons and dragons. He's not the most popular character in the school, but he won't let that get him down when a certain pink maned pony has caught his eye. Seemingly normal teenage life . . . until magical mishaps and mysterious happenings send Discord spiraling into a new adventure.

Discord found love, and Equestria peace, through his union with Fluttershy, till death do them part.

But what happens after that?

Discord has lived a very long life and has done all he can do to use his chaotic powers for good, just like his best friend asked him to before she passed.
Since then, he has been waiting for her to send him a sign allowing him to venture to the land after.
He believes that the sign has finally come.

Discord's plan while Fluttershy was away with the Breezies did not turn out as he planned. Not only did he not get to have the satisfaction of ruining Twilight and Cadence's day, he's now sick as a dog and bedridden. But at least Fluttershy is there to care for him.

However, while Discord didn't know of a certain giant worm's presence, he also neglected to consider one crucial flaw in his plan: how Fluttershy would react to it.

This fic stemmed from me being kinda unhappy with Fluttershy's role in "Three's A Crowd". Not the 'she's busy with the Breezies,' I felt that was a decent way to keep her from upsetting the plot, since it sets up a future event, and Discord came in BECAUSE she left. I more am unhappy we didn't see her react more to what Discord did behind her back, thus this fic is kinda what I imagine happened once she and Discord were alone.

I imagine that Fluttershy has Discord pegged, as she had him pegged BEFORE getting to know him better. That's my perception anyway.

This story was writen by my good and dear friend Atomicpuffin, who sadly is not longer writing for eh MLP fandom. This is a great shame, because she truly did produce great works of fanfiction that really deserve attention. If you would like to read more of her stories click here. However, because of complex reasons I wont go to much detail into, AP has turned over the ownership of What Happens in Las Pegasus over to me. Now I want to make very clear that this story, even though is legally own by me, is the work of Atomicpuffin. I claim no credit for the creation of this wonderful story what so ever.

Now, I'll sum up shortly what happened. I was writing a genderbend of this story, with permission from AP of course, but i ran into difficulties with publishing. Long story short, to save me the trouble, AP thought it best to turn over the ownership of What Happens in Las Pegasus to me, which I am truly grateful and honored.

Once again, for those who haven't read this story or the other works by Atomicpuffin, I highly encourage it. She is a wonderful author and a true, true friend.

Discord and the girls go to Las Pegasus for a much needed vacation and to strengthen their bonds of friendship. Of course the best laid plans are the first to fall to pieces. After one night of fun the mares wake up to find a few surprises from the previous night. None more so than one pair who wake up to find they got a bit more than they bargained for...such as gold bands.

Fluttershy has been having a recurring nightmare about her friends begging her to 'not trust him' and to 'help them before it's too late'.
At first, it seems that perhaps this is just one of those nightmares that Fluttershy has all the time and it's nothing to worry about. Discord assists her in erasing the unpleasant dream memories from her mind.
Yet, this dream simply won't be forgotten.
Fluttershy is then faced with the question...is seeing really believing, or can she truly not believe her eyes?

(This story takes place sometime after Princess Twilight Sparkle and before Twilight's Kingdom.
It was written after Twilight's Kingdom premiered and before Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks premiered. Any similarities are purely coincidental.
