The Bloody Mare Fanfic Reading

Kevin and Azura, a pair of twins, are sent to their grandparents' house for the summer. Unfortunately, the two typically are residents of Manehattan, so moving out to the middle of the woods for a whole season may present a challenge. However, while they are here, they discover a horror worse than anything they've experienced before; their worst nightmares are real in these woods.

It came from the depths of the Everfree; a plague unlike anypony had ever encountered. What began as a simple oddity became a nightmare that very nearly plunged Ponyville into a darkness from which it might never have recovered from.

And Bright Macintosh was there to see it all. To bear witness to the event that would forever be known only as... the Trouble.

The CMC and friends decide that they're too old for tick or treating. They decide to go to Princess Twilight's Nightmare Night party to hope to get some candy. They are in for a lot more than just candy.

Granny finally admitted to Apple Bloom that Bright Mac and Pear Butter were just "missing". So she's taking things into her own hooves, with the help of her two crusader friends of course! The three brew a "Finding Spell" that will lead them to her long-lost parents at last, but she might not be completely prepared for what awaits her at the end of her journey...

After being hospitalised and put into a coma after suffering severe injuries, Pinkie Pie has been showing no signs of waking up. Fire Rain, feeling lost without her best friend to keep her company, decides to stay with her, and she reminisces about all of the good memories she's shared with Pinkie. She has no clue if she can hear her, but she hopes there's some part of her subconscious that hears her voice and pulls her out of her coma.

We all know Scootaloo’s tough, that she’s cheerful, and positive, and a generally good, friendly mare.

But even Scootaloo’s capable of falling apart, with the right words; the wrong words. And she heard those words. You’ll never fly.

Now, Rainbow Dash just has to figure out if she’s capable of being put together again.

Suicide/Self-Harm tag added for implications of the act. I don't find it absolutely necessary, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

A Metroid Crossover

A meteor, resistant to magical manipulation, crashes in Equestria, Planet Equis, and soon spreads an unknown poison throughout the land. Containment is all but failing and the Princesses have little power to stop the spread of the Great Poison. The Elements of Harmony are of little use as no knowledge exists of this threat that consumes all life. Help comes from a certain Hunter, clad in metal.

Samus Aran will not only fight for her life as always, but her own sanity as well as these ponies that she begrudgingly starts seeing as allies. New horrors and abilities await her as a reason to fight slowly festers within her, possibly unlocking something she had been denied for so long: Friendship.

Notes and Resources:

This takes place after Echoes. The events of Corruption will have not happened yet. In terms of MLP, consider everything up to and including the Crystal Empire. Princess Twilight does not exist here, etc. The official Metroid Timeline can be found here.

As well, this story references the manga in many places. Reading of it is not required and I try my best to explain the context, but if you're interested, both volumes can be found here.

Two worlds, two peoples, two varying ways of life. For Equestria and its people, peace has been a staple of life for generations under the watchful eyes of their alicorn protectors. Resources and necessities for life are abundant, and the few times it has been threatened by external foes have ended in an Equestrian victory.

For mankind however, life is a brutal battle for survival in the war-torn hellscape of nuclear devastation. Violence and survival have been a mainstay for the last three decades, and only recently has a coalition tried to reestablish civilization. But the Earth is dying, and this last bastion of humanity only number around 50,000. For man, doom seems inevitable.

One day, two men accidentally discover something that will change the fates of both worlds forever. One man will discover Equestria and its prosperity, coming into contact with the very best Equestria has to offer. He will be shown kindness, and in turn, he will teach them understanding.

Regardless, the rest of Equestria will come to fear what they do not understand and after a tragedy costs humanity's good will, mankind will be left no choice but to invade in the name of survival. A sad tale, but one that history has repeated on numerous occasions. In the end, it will be up to a handful of individuals on both sides to find a solution and bring an end to the conflict. Will these two worlds come to terms and learn to coexist, or will one species be eradicated by the other?
