It has been a few days since the Fall Formal. Sunset is the construction crew's gopher, she still eats lunch alone, and she's feeling worse than ever. At the very least, she can feel proud of not having been a total she-demon since the dance. In fact, other than being lonely, she's been a model student.

So why in the name of Celestia is she being called to the principal's office?

Winter is coming, and everyone but Sunset Shimmer are making plans for Christmas. When Sunset Shimmer asks what it is, she gets a big answer, and an even bigger hands on experience.

Sunset Shimmer has a nightmare where her friends abandon her because of a scandal that she never commit. However, she finds comfort from a person she least expected.

Shortly after the events of Friendship Games, Sunset Shimmer, Applejack, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy have a casual conversation.

Rainbow Dash then mentions about Sunset's transformation during the games, and how she resembles a certain animal. Sunset is not amused.

Sunset Shimmer isn't having the best Christmas this year. True, her friends are coming to spend Christmas Eve dinner with her, bringing loads of gifts with them, but one thing is preventing her from enjoying the idea: she's yet to find a present for her girlfriend Rarity. After a failed shopping trip the day before Christmas Eve Sunset goes to bed bitter about the holiday.

And then a Christmas Spirit appeared. Now Sunset is forced to take a journey to her past, her present, and her future to see what she needs to see. And maybe she can take what she learns and make the holiday one worth remembering.

Sequel to A Generous Soul and Sunset Serenade. Neither are really needed to understand the story.

It's Hearth's Warming, and while it is a holiday to be holly and jolly, Spike doesn't seem to be. After a huge fight with Twilight after an accident, Spike gets visited by Clike, a so-called angel. Spike wishes he was never born, and it was granted... What happens around him isn't as it seems...

When Applebloom takes a turn for the worse, Sunset Shimmer decides to try and teach him the true meaning of Christmas and life itself. With the help of her friends, Sunset decides to use ghosts from the past, present, and future. Told from different points of view from the main six, this adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol is certainly worth the read.

As Hearth's Warming draws near once again, Twilight receives an invitation from Sunset Shimmer to celebrate Christmas in the Human World. Excited to research a foreign holiday, she accepts only to find a little bit more than she bargained for.
