Hey, I'm Gilda... I think.

See, I died a little while ago. Not sure how, or why. I don't even know who I am. I'm not even entirely sure "Gilda" is really my name.

But there is something I do know. I'm dead, and I lost my memory. And now, somepony else is going to lose their life, and there's nothing I can do about it. Or can I...?

Something about this situation is pushing me to save this pony. But there's the problem of my apparent death. I'm told I have these "ghost tricks"... But they can't be real, can they?

Whatever the case is, all I know is that I must save this pony. It feels like she knows what happened to me. I want to know.

Who am I? Why did I die? Who killed me?

Well, with the power of the Ghost Tricks, I'm sure nothing could go wrong... right?

This night is looking to be a long one. I'd better piece together my memories and possess the truth before the trail runs cold.

I guess it's time to become a Phantom Detective for one night.

Fluttershy once got a knock on her door. It was you, Hitler. You and her had dinner before she realized who you are, so she shot and killed you. Twilight, unfortunately, was right behind you. Now both of you are in Hell. Have a nice trip!

The mane six find a golden horseshoe with an odd inscription written on it. Curious, they each try it on and discover that it temporarily turns them into exaggerated versions of who everypony else thinks they really are. Twilight turns into a nerd, Applejack turns into an ignorant redneck, etc. Realizing the horseshoe is too dangerous, Rainbow tries to dispose of it. But she hides it in an obvious spot, and now the horseshoe has fallen into the hooves of other ponies...

Applejack is hell-bent on beating the high score on ‘Sea Pony Symphony’, her favorite pinball machine. Unfortunately the game has a dangerous twist in store for her. Will an unlikely retired pinball wizard be able to save her from a musical fate that is truly worse than death?

Infuriated by a seemingly unwritable essay, Twilight Sparkle turns to bashing her head against a table to ease the feeling of literary inadequacy. Luckily, Spike is there to offer some more practical advice on finishing her essay--and why she should write it in the first place.
