Grossly Incandescent is amazing and is partly why I picked up the game Dark Souls in the first place. I would defiantly give that fic a shot. "A different shade of red" is... I have no idea where I'm going with that lol

Dark Soul crossovers are almost always well done, but hardly any of them finish! I always feel a bit sad when I realize an author abandons the story or puts it in permanent hiatus (I'm looking at you, Second Chance at Life!).
This is very well written and you kept the lore pretty well intact. I'm just curious at HOW you'll portray Artorias. When you meet him in the past he's understandably remorseful and somewhat brooding. Have you heard the unused dialogue they cut out for him? But they mention he had an iron will, maybe to the point of being stubborn and a bit rash. Anyhow, I hope this continues and can't wait to see where this goes.

I did find that audio file on youtube and I absolutely loved it, but part of me is glad that they left it out of the game. It would have been ok for him to talk during the fight, like many npcs do when you attack them, but I'm on the fence about it.
I'm going to try to portray Artorias as understanding and reasonable, but if we go by the time of kings and knights (Henry the VIII's time(late 1400s early 1500s)) everyone was a bit prejudice (holy wars, the 16th century schism, etc), so it feels like Artorias needs to have a bit of stubborn pride.
Of course I can't base a fictional character's attitude and morals from a real time and place, but it give a good ground to build from.

Well Knights historically were nothing more than armored thugs whose sole purpose really was either go fight a war on another continent or put down the FILTHY PEASANTS before they got too rebellious from their terrible living conditions and non-existent wages. Those FILTHY PEASANT'S only weakness is heavily armored men trampling them under hooves. The only reason why they are remembered so romantically is because Kings were wise enough to butter them up with stories of their "heroic" deeds and tapestries that often portrayed them putting down those FILTHY PEASANTS.
The only thing that is really known about Artorias is that he had an unbendable will of steel and that he hated the Darkwraiths or servants of the Dark in general with passion. Also it is speculated that the four Knights of Gwyn where each given a small part of Gwyns power and through this became something like demigods or even more. Also Gwyn wasn't a king he was a god and his titles are the Lord of Sunlight and after he linked the First Flame Lord of Cinder.
Despite this he is one of the easiest bosses ingame if you know how to parry and don't screw up the timing.
Oh and also Gwyn has in my opinion the best battle theme of all bosses.

Holy motherfucking shit. I finally fucking found one. An mlp crossover featuring the greatest dark souls character ever. Is he in his incredibly fucked up state. Or in his prime. Because in his prime not even the royal sisters could defeat him.
And dear lord there is no way they could beat artorias. If they do I could never forgive you author. I mean they wouldn't even put a scratch on him.

I don't know. It depends on how you think of the Royal Sisters. I tend to absolutely love Celestia and see her as a god-like character, although others use the Canterlot Wedding episodes to label her a complete wimp.
I can promise the two, Celestia and Knight Artorias, will have a little scrap the next chapter.
