SuperPinkBrony12

I'm a brony and a Pinkie Pie fan but I like all of the mane six, as well as Spike. I hope to provide some entertaining and interesting fanfics for the Brony community.

This story is a sequel to Batmare Triumphant

(This story is a sequel both to Batmare Triumphant and Dragon of Steel II. Familarity with both works and their universes is highly recommended. Dedicated to the legacy of both Adam West (1928-2017) and Kevin Conroy (1955-2022), also dedicated in memory of Akira Toriyama (1955-2024). Loosely based on "World's Finest" from Superman: The Animated Series.)

Prepare yourselves for an out of this world crossover event between two caped crusaders' from separate universes: Batmare, the dark knight. And Super Dragon, the dragon of steel. Watch what happens when their universes are merged together by an unlikely chain of events!

Batmare finds herself hot on the trail of Starlight Glimmer, a pony who has stolen a scroll capable of time travel and with ties to a criminal organization known only as The League of Assassins. Meanwhile, Super Dragon and Twilight are preparing to explore other universes through the use of a special machine and spell Twilight perfected.

As a result of magical imbalances and combinations, the two universes are merged into one, and Super Dragon and Batmare soon find themselves learning of the other's existence. Naturally, circumstances eventually cause the two to meet face to face, as they must figure out how to restore the balance before the entire multiverse is irreperably altered!

But while our heroes try to get their bearings and make plans, events are set into motion that will test the mettle of both heroes. An unknown benefactor arranges for The Joker's escape, and upon his release the clown prince sets his sights not on Batmare but on Super Dragon, plotting a scheme designed to get the dragon's attention by any means necessary.

REALLY loved the work going into the dialogue, characterizations and future chapter set-up here. The bits with Batmare and the guards (ESPECIALLY Shining) makes a great deal of sense, as does the nod to the canon "Cutie Re-Mark" in this case. And the "Detective Mode" stuff makes a great deal of sense as well.

On to the next chapter.

REALLY good action, dialogue and future chapter set-up. The stuff with Super Dragon and HIS universe's Twilight before the mess with the portal was excellent lead-off. In addition, Pipsqueak/Robin II checking up on the activities of Two-Face's gang before having the encounter with Super Dragon was excellent - including the nod to Spike's counterpart in THIS universe being the analogue to Robin I/Nightwing (who is presently the leader of his own hero team - this universe's versions of the Titans)

Again, on to the next chapter.

Whoa mama. REALLY good job on this chapter. Well, this prison is obviously a bit more secure than Arkham in the main DC Universe as Joker needed help to escape rather than being able to do it on his own. And the reflections on the contrasts between Super Dragon and Batmare was also a good bit.

The dialogue between Batmare and Robin II concerning Super Dragon and the multiverse (as well as the resemblance Super Dragon bears to Nightwing) was great stuff, as was the capture and interogation of Starlight Glimmer.

On to the next chapter.

REALLY good work on the dialogue between Super Dragon's version of Filthy Rich and Batmare's version of Blueblood. And, yes, the stuff about chaos and Filthy Rich's reluctance to help Joker, right up until the latter threatened the former's family.

And on to the next chapter.

I can definitely understand the bypassing the standard "misunderstanding-based fight" between two heroes meeting for the first time concerning Batmare and Super Dragon and actually have them talk it out before Super Dragon heard his universe's Twilight in trouble and flew to the rescue.

And on to the next chapter.

The encounter between Super Dragon Twilight and Batmare Blueblood was very good to see, as was Twilight using clever spell use to take care of the bomb before Super Dragon arrived.

On to the next chapter.

Again, you did a really good job on the dialogue, characterizations, action and climax set-up in this second-to-last chapter. Joker getting Super Dragon with that mind-altering gas and then Twilight telling Batmare Super Dragon's weakness and stopping Batmare from going too far in stopping Super Dragon after he was already freed from the Joker's gas was excellently done.

On to the last chapter.

The action, dialogue, characterizations, general wrap-up and possible sequel set-up were all excellently done. Absolutely loved the teamwork that went into Super Dragon, Batmare and Twilight in taking down the League of Assassins goons, Joker AND the multiverse-threatening bomb before Super Dragon and his Twilight made it safely home. And that cameo in the end by the Crusaders/the Titans revealing Discord as the mastermind behind the League of Assassins was excellent lead-off to a sequel story. Of course, with somebody like Discord in the role of Ra's al Ghul, we would probably need a Justice League of the Multiverse to truly stop him (since he would be too powerful for anything less). And Super Dragon's Discord would be downright horrified by how far his alternate self would be willing to go (as Super Dragon's Discord would probably be Mister Mxyzptlk - who is typically more mischievous than evil). Of course, other versions of the individual Mane Six members as super-heroes in separate universes would make sense - especially since next year is the 65th anniversary of the first appearance of the Justice League.

Anyway, very much looking forward to more of this series.

And Happy Easter.
