This story is a sequel to Batmare: Birth Of The Dark Knight
(Note: If you have not read Batmare: Birth Of The Dark Knight I suggest you do so in order for the events of this fic to make sense.)
Ever since the defeat of The Joker, Batmare and Robin have become known as Equestria's greatest defenders. Thanks to them, the citizens of Equestria can sleep peacefully at night.
But when a new foe named Miss. Freeze shows up, her icy powers aren't the only problem the Dark Knight and Boy Wonder must contend with. Robin is starting to feel insecure about being a sidekick, and Batmare is begining to have doubts about her ability to make a difference.
To make matters worse, an old enemy is scheming to take revenge on a pony he blames for ruining his life. And no one is aware of it.
With things spiraling out of control left and right, do our heroes stand a chance? Or is Equestria doomed to suffer under the wrath of new super villans?

5606349 Well the thing with Mr. Freeze is, he's more one of the more sympathetic Batman villans due to his redefined origins. In fact, he is perhaps the only villan Batman has ever felt sorry for. Even in "Batman and Robin" Mr. Freeze ultimately turns out to be sympathetic, when he provides the cure to save Alfred's life.

Is the title a tribute to the now cancelled Batman movie, Batman Triumphant.
5960337 The title? Yes. But the movie was originally planned as a sequel to the terrible Batman and Robin. It was planned to have George Clooney return as Batman and Chris O Donnel return as Robin, with Jack Nicholson reprising his role as The Joker tormenting Batman in his dreams. Batgirl would return as well, and Harley Quin was to be introduced as The Joker's daughter. The decision was ultimately made to scrap the sequel and reboot the franchise.

5993035 I'm leaning towards using my O.C., largely because the Slade from Teen Titans never has his secret identity revealed. In that series, he is an engimatic bounty hounter that is the Titans primary adversary, and he occasionally recruits other villans to defeat them. Towards the end of the series, he exploits Raven's connections to Trigon and uses her to unleash doomsday upon the Titans universe. And that is the Slade I remember the most.

5993045 It's not set in stone for the time being. I largely lean towards my O.C. because he can occupy the role with little trouble. Twilight and Rainbow Dash have close connections to the CMC, so turning them into Deathstroke would be practically impossible baring events that would just feel contrived. And with Shining Armor being Captain of The Royal Guard, turning him into Deathstroke would be even more difficult, without severing his ties to Cadence and Twilight which would feel way too edgy.
5993058 Not true with Shining. Slade Wilson also had a wife who only hated him because it endangered his family. You can still work with that since this version could support him. Only reason she doesn't reign him in sooner is because neither of them know that the five heroes are related to Twilight's friends or Twilight herself. Plus Deathstroke's key thing? He's a soldier. He'd die for his country and Shining would be willing to do so as well.
