It is the last year for the girls at Canterlot High, while they have had great adventures involving the magic of Equestria, now they will have new problems to solve, a strange object which has caught Spike's attention which will bring a great change to their lives.
This is a new step for Spike's magical life, an awakening.

Good opening. And yeah I was disappointed Dog Spike wasn't in Spring Breakdown or even Rollercoaster of Friendship. But I had to keep reminding myself he was a dog. And the same no dogs allowed rule applies to places even in the Rainbooms world. But yeah it also made me wish Spike got more than just the ability to talk because of Equestrian Magic. But now he has the chance to experience life as a human.

I forgot to say this earlier but it's wonderful in seeing another egq story(that actually is in the regular universe/timeline where the movies happened) where either Spikes get to be human or gains the ability to become human.

It's nice the Sparkle's still see Spike as family boy or dog, and now the rest of the girls are really gonna have their minds blown seeing their friends dog is now human
If Equestria Spike goes home while in his current form... will he become a pony instead of his usual Dragon self?

Now both Spikes are human. At least the dragon one gets to experience it and not just the dog him.
