Mornings in the Sparkle family home were often quiet, that was not the case today.
Twilight was pacing the living room while texting on her phone, she was calling her friends for an emergency meeting that had to do with her dog, Spike.
Which was no longer a dog.
“Oh no, this is not right, my fur is gone,” said Spike who had woken up and realized that he was now a human, he looked worried looking at himself, he was clearly upset, “My tail, no, my tail disappeared.”
Twilight Velvet and Night Light were sitting, they were in shock, because it seemed strange to them that one day they had found out that Spike learned to speak English, of course that day Twilight Sparkle had told them everything that happened at Friendship. Games, so a talking dog didn't seem like such a scary thing, but this time it was different, his pet had turned into a human being, which fortunately was wearing clothes.
“Well, I can say this morning has been weird,” Twilight Velvet said.
“Just weird, I don't know if you've noticed Mrs. Velvet, but I don't have my tail anymore,” Spike responded in total panic.
“Spike, I think you should calm down,” Night Light told him, trying to comfort him.
“I'm trying, but I just can't, Mr. Light,” Spike responded flustered, “This feels really bad, WHOAAAA.”
Spike had slipped, clearly not used to walking on 2 legs.
Twilight Sparkle walked over to him and helped him up, "Don't worry Spike, we'll find out what's going on, I'm not going to leave you alone, and that's a promise."
Spike smiled, since Twilight was always there when he felt scared.
“And if it's any consolation,” Velvet told him, “Night Light and I think you look cute that way.”
“Really?” Spike asked them, now a little calmer.
Night Light nodded, "Of course, damn, with that skin tone it even seems like you're our son."
Spike was silent for a moment, he had never thought about that possibility, yet he smiled at them even knowing that he needed to be a dog again, "Thank you Mr. Light."
As they were trying to spend their morning peacefully in the living room, Twilight Velvet noticed the clothes Spike was wearing, although on some level she was grateful that her magical transformation gave her clothes to avoid that awkward occurrence, she notice that the clothes were torn and dirty, she was not going to leave it like that.
“Spike, come with me,” Velvet told him as Spike followed her more easily, since they were heading to the second floor of the house and Spike was able to support himself thanks to the stairs.
They arrived at the Sparkle couple's room where there was a double bed, next to it there was a huge mirror and near it a closet, Velvet opened the closet and started searching, “It has to be here, I'm sure I kept it in somewhere."
Spike raised an eyebrow, he had no idea what Mrs. Velvet was looking for, he approached to offer her help but she seemed to have already figured it out.
"Here it is."
Twilight Velvet took out a white t-shirt and blue shorts from the closet, she handed them to Spike, “Spike, these are Shining Armor clothes that no longer fit, I thought you could wear them while we get you something better.”
Spike smiled and accepted the clothes, “Thank you very much Mrs. Velvet, I didn't think I…”
“Of course you deserve it,” Velvet interrupted him with a smile and then approached him giving him a kiss on the cheek, “Human or dog, you are still part of our family.”
Spike hugged Twilight Velvet, moved by her actions, Velvet accepted the hug without thinking.
Ding dong.
The doorbell rang, Twilight headed to the door, behind her were her friends, Sunset Shimmer, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rarity and Rainbow Dash, she had contacted them since she would need all the help possible whenever there was a magical emergency.
“Good morning Twi,” Sunset Shimmer greeted her, “They're all here, you told us there was an emergency.”
“Is this something bad?” Fluttershy asked her.
Twilight shook her head, “No, at least, I don't think so.”
"So what is it?" Rainbow Dash asked her as they entered the house.
Nervously, Twilight asked them to sit down, “Maybe you'll want to sit down.”
The girls proceeded to do it, some on the couch and others on some chairs that were there.
“Okay, we're sitting down,” Applejack told her, “What's going on?”
Twilight didn't respond, she simply sighed and announced, “You can come out now.”
The girls were surprised, perhaps Twilight had called them just to introduce them to someone new.
At that moment the girls saw a boy of a similar age to the Crusaders arrive from the living room, the boy was looking at the floor a little nervous, they didn't know it was Spike.
“Dawww, its so cute,” Pinkie Pie exclaimed, then she walked over to Spike, then she looked at Twilight Sparkle, “Twilight, you didn't tell us you had a little brother.”
“I…” Twilight said but was interrupted by Fluttershy who approached the boy.
“Hello little one, my name is Fluttershy, what's your name,” said Fluttershy who came so close which made Spike blush a little.
“Fluttershy,” Spike replied, raising his head and replied, “It's me.”
“Huh?” Fluttershy wondered.
The other girls were surprised by what they heard, but the first to notice was Sunset Shimmer, “Wait a minute.”
The girls approached him and when they saw his hair color and skin color, several ideas crossed their mind, but it was not until they saw that this boy had a dog collar tied to his wrist which he was using as a If it were a bracelet, that and in addition to her voice was what made them put the puzzle together.
“Spike,” the 6 girls shouted, surprised to see the talking puppy they knew turned into a human boy.
