This story is a sequel to Ultimate Spiders and Magic: Episode V "Neogenic Nightmare"
While everyone is away for the Camp Everfree trip, Peter decides to stay behind amidst the Man-Spider aftermath. However, Trixie’s father, Jackpot, comes into town for his magical performance tour (and hidden illegal matters) as the Great and Powerful Mysterio. Now, Spider-Man must contend with the magician’s powerful illusions and technology, all while trying to preserve his friendship with Trixie and learning of her family's turmoil.
Life is never simple.

I know it’s probably not going to happen but with Rainbow getting so riled up with her rivalry with Spider-Man it almost seems like it’s setting up her to get the venom symbiote (more agent venom style than raging evil venom)

Hmm... I have mixed feelings about this chapter.
On the one hand, poor Peter didn't get a break (as usual) with the public hating Spider-Man now more than ever, getting shot at by a police officer (which was unprovoked), Twilight, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash's attitude towards him is getting ridiculous (especially Twilight and Rainbow Dash), and Trixie's father, Jackpot, aka Mysterio is coming to visit... which we all know this won't end well.
But on the other hand, Fluttershy became Peter's friend (and possible love interest) from the last story and she just gave him a kiss on his cheek before she gave him her number.
At least there's one good thing coming Peter's way at least.
Anyway, looking forward to the next chapter!

It's only been a few days since Peter's Man-Spider incident and he's still have a hard time with the public opinion mostly against him as usual while having to readjust to his enhanced senses and he has opt out of going on the school field trip to Camp Everfree. On the bright side, at least he'll have won't have to deal with the Rainbooms for a while who are still sore and humbled from their humiliating defeat, with Rainbow taking it the hardest because of her ego, and Peter has another confidant and possible love interest with Fluttershy.

So Jefferson Davis was the police officer that Man-Spider injured and put in the hospital, and his son Miles Morales is in kindergarten. As much as Spidey feels bad about it, it is probably for the best to leave him be and give it time. Jefferson is one of the few good cops that does warm up to Spidey eventually, so hopefully the next time they encounter each other, it will be in a more professional and civilised manner. Also give his son 7 or 8 more years and one spider bite and you've got another Spider-Man.
While on the subject of Rainbow thinking of a way to "even the odds" with Spider-Man, I'm worried that once the Rainbooms, more specifically Twilight and Rainbow, get their geode powers, they may get on a bit of a power trip and paint a bigger target on themselves. Worse yet, they might end up making a mistake that may haunt them for the rest of their lives. I mean shouldn't Twilight have learned her lesson after turning into Midnight Sparkle and nearly breaking the Multiverse?
Okay, on one hand I find this adorable even though I prefer Sunset. On the other hand, I think Fluttershy might be slightly too good for Peter. And knowing his Parker Luck, I'm not expecting it to last very long.

Okay, episode 6 "Grass and ravings" (Sorry guys, I couldn't help it). They continue the epic of a loser who proves that he is capable of something by receiving portions of cuffs from various anti-heroes. Okay, I'm going to end my bullshit and start the subjective review, and I'll with the Rainbows, who didn't seem to have learned anything from the previous two episodes. Well, two meters underground they are waiting for them if they continue their attempts to “defeat” the spider. Particularly striking is Swi-Twilight, whose transformation into a midnight spark did not destroy both the human world and the multiverse (or the Spiderverse).
But it’s also sad that Peter’s luck still haunts him and doesn’t allow him to live in peace for at least one month, well, at least he got Fluttershy and I was surprised a lot by their progress in relation (She kissed him on the cheek and gave him a phone, kamon !), although I'm more for Sunset/Peter. In general, I look forward to continuing. And yes, for violations of the canon, Miguel will be unhappy ...

Oh for goodness sake! What seemed to be just an ordinary phenomenal magic show of tricks and illusions performed by Trixie's Dad turns out to be a set up orchestrated to frame Spider-Man as the villain and make Mysterio out to be the hero when really he's just a crooked phoney craving for fame and attention. So in order to clear his name, Peter has to take down Jackpot and prove that he's a fraud. However it's not going to be that simple. as always in Spidey's line of work, because of Trixie since she clearly idolises her father and there's no telling what will happen when she finds out the truth. She considers Peter her friend, in her own narcissistic way so to speak. But after today, she now likely views Spider-Man as a menace and this will definitely put a strain in their friendship in the long run which he may have to sacrifice, especially if he doesn't take her side in support off her father.
If I'm not mistaken, this friend of Octavious' is definitely implied to be Dr. Curt Connors aka The Lizard.
Okay, I'm going to take a wild guess here. Jackpot's real name, in this universe at least, is actually Quentin Beck and he used to work for OsCorp and did some real shady work, possibly the kind that would deem him mentally unstable. By the time he had Trixie, he had already changed his name and likely fabricated a new background history to hide his past from her.
