Well, that sadly didn't happened in the Fall of Equestria stories. The Alicorns got nerfed, and even get "shafted" hard!
Besides, the Alicorns aren't exactly "OP" in the canon show anyway. IF the likes of Celestia, Luna, and Cadence ALWAYS get their butts kicked by the MLP Villains. The only excuses Twilight has is because she has plot armor, and being the main protagonist.

Maybe people are just tired of seeing the same racist fetish clopfics on their feeds. This sort of story gets published pretty much biweekly.
Besides that, even the clop itself was absurdly rushed and flat out embarassing. We're about two hundred words in and already cocks are getting shoved into Twilight's face by a character who canonically is her close friend. You don't think maybe that rubs people the wrong way to see immediately upon reading a fic?
Or maybe they don't like how you butchered Zecora's character. Either way, if you get that many downvotes for 'no reason', perhaps a smidgen of self reflection is in order

I didn't know Zebra stories were so hated, I haven't been very active on here in a long time. And as for butchering Zecora's character, it's a fanfiction, a shitty one at that.
Canon characterization means nothing, especially in a clopfic where Zecora was only ever pretending.

I'm not attacking you dude, I'm answering your question on why you got so many downvotes as someone who has been on this site for close to a decade.
You can't just make the argument of "it's fanfic lol I can do whatever" without expecting it to rub people the wrong way. The whole point of fanfic is to see more of characters we like in new situations. If you don't want to do that, either use OCs or anticipate some frustration from your readers.

If that's the attitude you have then don't take downvotes so seriously, or at least anticipate them when you're dealing with questionable topics. That's the best advice I can offer you. Writing is a hobby and you're free to do it however you want, so long as you're not encouraging harming someone or something, but a rating system makes it very very easy for people to voicelessly express their disapproval.

You probably just saw the description and downvoted before even reading.
Haven't read it yet, but from reading the comments it just seems that fimfiction users take crackfics too seriously, and when the author tried defending themselves the ones that didn't move on felt attacked for some strange reason. Having said that, if the story is just plain badly written then the dislikes are at least partially valid. However, like Some Leech pointed out, some topics just attracts hatred for little to no reason. Don't know why people hate on zebradom, if you don't like it then just don't read those stories, no reason to go on a crusade against them.
I myself don't like sex stories that include blood, gore, futaxmale (love futaxfuta or futaxfemale though) etc. but I don't attack stories that include these things, with the exception being if it wasn't included in the tags (or warned about in the description) and it just is there in the story.

Sadly that’s the knee-jerk reaction that people have at these stories. It doesn’t even matter if the cast is all female. Like one of my favorite zebradom stories C.A.F.R. Is basically all yaoi And yet it catches flack for no apparent reason. Dom stories are rarely given the time of day unless it’s about a character undoing what the dominating race has done.
