it is only offensive when purposely used in an offensive manner(read: intending to cause offense) towards someone who is trans and specifically is not a trap.
The term "trap" still retains its own meaning which has nothing to do with trans people, and you jumping to the accusation that it's a derogatory term despite the context not making it such only gives the people who purposefully misuse it more power and reason to do so.
While typically performed by cis people, anyone can choose to be a "trap" and/or partake in the act of "trapping", even a trans person can choose to be a trap if they desire. And yes it's possible that may lead to some people being confused about the terms and make the incorrect assumption about traps and/or trans people, and then unintentionally misusing them and causing offense when used to refer to someone who is trans but ISNT a trap, or vice versa. You can do your part by helping inform people of the disambiguation between traps and trans, instead of jumping to throwing insults. Be the better person and help fix this misinformation and incorrect mindset you've been brainwashed into.

1. I'm queer as a three dollar bill. Hell, my avatar even wears a gay pride pin and has for years, so I have a dog in this race.
2. I live in Florida. Orlando, (Which is basically considered the entire Central Florida area) couldn't be more gay friendly if they tried. There are gay pride colors on the walls, on the streets, on the freaking expressways. Florida is Very gay friendly and we have an enormous gay and drag community. We have a drag show industry for christ sakes.
3. That freaking law that has everyones panties in a twist. Ive read it, and its not draconian at all. Again, there is a huge gay community here, if anyone passed ridiculous anti gay laws here, it would be political suicide. The laws that were passed recently mainly said, sex will no be broached from kindergarten through grade school. Nothing till middle school.
4. Im a huge fan of Some Leech and his/her work. Its not leeches job to worry about offending me. Its my job to be level headed enough to judge the Author according to their work. In all the stories that I have read from old Leechie boy, Ive never felt he demeened any sexual orientation or kink. I never left a single story of his thinking, "Dam, that was fucking wrong."
You were offended by the way he used the term trap, You weren't commenting on the content of the story, or the situation a character was in, or the treatment of a character. you were commenting on a single word used in the description. AND this is why I urge Authors to never read the comments section of their stories.
I think Leech is doing a fine job as Author and Head Kinkmeister In Charge.

I just tried imagining that, then I wondered if you read all your stories back to back, how long it would take.
So....... I have 52 of your stories archived as audio books. All 52 make up a run time of....1.2 days. You have, lets see.... 276 stories, so.....(276 divided by 52... 5.307...times 1.2 .
Thats a total run time of 6.36 days... so 6 and 1/3 days or around 150 hours of reading...give or take.
And after all that and thinking of your writing time, only one thing comes to mind......
