Things are getting real interesting, wish I had another story to occupy my time so I can let some chapters build up on this story.
Anyways I await more eagerly!
In their tongue he's known as Dovahkiin Dragonborn Fus Ro Dah
Okay, Torch slapping his daughter Ember? So not okay. I don't care if this is a blue/orange morality thing. That kind of brutality against your children for speaking is NEVER acceptable. No wonder he has to step down from being Dragon Lord. He truly is no longer fit.
Sounds like someone's gonna be doing some PotD real soon

My boy finally being a man! 👏🏿
Ain't no way in hell Jethro the interespecies king struct gold again
He couldn't have...I simply refuse to believe so. Gotta be someone else.

Also a big middle finger to Ember's abusive father. Not only did he try to force his daughter into marriage but also physically abused her & is strongly confirmed to have abused her plenty of times! 😡
This definitely not My Little Pony anymore. This is something else entirely!
We need Daring Do, stat.
Nice

not if you want them in once piece at the end
Ruins of Dormog? I feel like this is going to be so Lord of the Rings shit going on here.
Jethro gave a bit of an image about the changelings?
Looks like he hasnt read about Prime Enforcer Shell in Lerris, or the story of Stratopolis, from the Austreoh Saga?![:pinkiesick:](https://static.fimfiction.net/images/emoticons/pinkiesick.png)
Am I the only one that noticed the green blood?
Yes, it came to me... in a dream.
No literally, I found it while dreaming, it was pretty neat looking.
Also hurray! Exile dragon's location has been discovered, my thirst for that bit of knowledge has been quenched.

Ah damn that’s my bad. I looked up lizard blood color and saw it was lime green. I forgot I made it red earlier. I’ll fix that.

Yeah and considering dragons vaule their children. Sure they don't discouraged them from acting like idiots but they will definitely not deliberately hurt them.
No! Focus back on how animals speak Phoenix.
That was some great lore and excellent world-building.
In fact the entire Phoenix rebirth arc was fascinating. I hope we get to learn more about that, what powers he has, etc. when things calm down.
Eve and Philomena's interaction makes me wonder how old she actually is. Probably older than Celestia, if I were to guess.
That, and Ember being abused by her father without realizing it. Damn. It's dark, but it's more world-building that's different from the show.
amazing chapter.
i have a idea what this is and if i am right this will be good.

She’s 900 years old. Celestia mentioned this.
So, Bennu, the Sun Bird, is the reason why Celestia can have fiery image. And as Sun is source of life and Phoenixes are embodiments of life cycle, they gave speech to all animals.
That's perfect worldbuilding.
Ps. Bennu is from ancient Egypt mythology. Not quite a god, but a god-like creature. That's probably where all sunbird\firebird tropes came from.
Jethro: "'Ruins of a Roar'?
Are we speaking in Hungarian, or are we speaking something a little more metaphorically, like 'Shaka, When the Walls Fell'?"
"
Lord Torch: "Um--I don't know...
*BADOOOOINNNNGGG!!*
"
"
... I'd... like to see that episode... NOW!
"
Lord Torch: "AAAAHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhh...."
Ember: "Dad!....?
Jethro: I guess you're Lord Ember, now, Your Highness! Easier than it was in the show....
Celestia: "
Finally caught up with the rest of the story, and it’s been a blast, I won’t lie
keep up the work!!!
also worried for that this "Ruins of Dormog" has something to do with lava... XD
I hate waiting for the next chapter. Hope he puts a ring on zecora soon because he seems destined to have an interesting life and he can use someone wonderful by his side.

I think for someone who never killed before it just harder to wrap your head around doing it when push comes to shove. Considering its easy to think you can do it but even if you have the skills doing it is harder mentally for most people than others. I don't know how cops and military people get that fixed because I know with cops a lot of the time it seems more like they are just power mad.
11316550
From my knowledge, the thought of killing for the first time is very uncomfortable for most and they usually have to find coping mechanisms to forget about it as long as possible. Soldiers, especially, can have serious emotional trauma from serving in combat zones.
As for cops, the vast majority never aim their gun at somebody much less fire it, since most people are not stupid enough to warrant extreme measures be taken against them. Consider for a moment why you think most of them are power mad, because I guarantee that most you think fit the bill are also over worked and probably had to deal with a particularly traumatic event recently. Don't get me wrong, some are bad for the sake of it and some departments are more notorious for protecting dirty cops than others, but context is also important, and the internet is king at misrepresenting reality.
11316656
I seen plenty of videos where they overreact to something. Sometimes it seems like they just expect people to bow down to them. If fact this let us never ever punish the cops approach has gotten a lot of people thinking that they are not there for them but for themselves. And I know some might mean well but if they know something is wrong and they don't do anything they are just as bad because they are allowing it. Pinocchio would lose to them in a lying contest.
11316658
To be fair, most police encounter videos don’t necessarily represent reality either because they’re individual cases in the hundreds per year, compared to the likely hundreds of thousands of stops/encounters per year, 99% of which don’t end tragically. This also goes for the videos praising cops as opposed to antagonizing them. As an example, every single encounter I’ve had with police has been, maybe not perfect, but in none of them were family members or I given tickets or arrested (and that’s considering we’ve jumped between 5 different places in my life in 4 states, two of which in the South.) My point being, most police encounters probably don’t go the way public perception realizes, and usually context is missing in many of the videos uploaded for the purposes of clout.
But far be it from me to say what it’s like for some people like, hey, maybe you’ve been stopped by dirty cops before or lived in bad neighborhoods where cops callously enforce laws or lie to fulfill a quota (which is definitely a thing btw, especially for traffic stops.)
Some, like in the case of Uvalde, are cowardly and don’t do their duty to protect the people around them. It’s unfortunate and we’re all only human, but I believe better tactical training and learning to become better aware of a situation will make situations like these end better in the future. (In case you didn’t know, officers at Uvalde believed the shooting was a hostage situation and not a mass shooting event, a decision very foolishly made that cost them precious time and lives.)
11316719
In that situation I would like to bop them for forgetting the rule take out the shooter asap. It doesn't matter what sort of situation it is the rule is take him out asap.
11316742
It was just an overall mess, they didn’t treat the situation properly at all and crumpled at the first engagement with the shooter. What really confuses me is how they thought it was a hostage situation, I mean, the shooter made no demands or attempts to communicate with anyone, and hostages were not confirmed present.
11316749
Well it was more like prisoners on death row in that room than hostages. Hostages you want to keep in good shape mostly. Prisoners not so much. Plus everytime this happens in a school he gets in a room shoots everyone in it and then repeats until either everyone is dead or he is. I don't know why they expected it to be different this time.
