There is so much to unpack in this.
First I'd like to say thank you for putting the lampshade on Shining x Twilight (and/or Velvet). While it does make for good reading, there's a lot of it.

Second, is everything else:
Lovers torn apart by fate, mending of relationships, a spark that needs to be heavily controlled so as not to snuff out again, fond memories of a past that shall never be again.

And probably more.

I LOVED this story. And I would love to see their relationship blossom into glorious friendship.

Third, the clop was really good. Like, change my underwear, good. You get a like.

Yeah, I think the headcanon I'm adopting here is that friends (with occasional threesomes) works out, Vinyl soon quits sex work to focus on her music, and somewhere down the line Blueblood will be the sire (and awesome uncle) to a foal or two for Vinyl and Octy once they get to that point.

I didn't want to dig too much into the melodrama of their lives, but I think I left enough there to put it all together more or less. Short version: Daddy has every miserable day left in his life coming to him.
