Shaslan

I make both fanart and fanfic. I draw all my cover images myself, and I take art and writing commissions!

The island of Rockhoof's birth was desolate and barren. Life clung on by a thread to those wind-tossed shores. Summers were hard and winters harder, but he found love there, and someday, he hopes he will find it again.

An entry for the pillars contest.

Thanks for the submission! We look forward to reading this piece and wish you best of luck in judging!

Well, that was certainly unexpected.

Not bad. I saw you post the cover earlier on dA. Good luck in the contest.

Really really liked this one! Not going to spoil the ending but that ship you used is eye-opening and beautifully tragic when compared with what the first half of the story was building to. It's really balanced storytelling, and I love how you were able to weave together something that was both tragic and hopeful. Great job and thank you for participating!

Oh! I read this one and never left a comment! (I think because it was during judging!) This was such a sweet, beautiful story; you created a world that felt very real, that drew me in, and left me heartbroken when Rockhoof had to move on. I wanted so badly for him to be able to return, somehow! You broke my heart, and I loved it. Wonderful work.

This was a nice look at Rockhoof's life, and the descriptions were great. The pairing at the end is interesting, and it's a shame we didn't get to see more of that.
