After another sucessful gig Octavia and her fellow band members head to a bar in Canterlot to relax and unwind.
However Octavia doesn't really get the chance to unwind when she start getting questions from her band mates, as well as her best friends Vinyl Scrath and Lyra Heartstrings.
One of those questions is why Octavia didn't seem surprised by Pinke Pie's antics at The Grand Galloping Galla and the truth is Octavia and Pinkie Pie are cousins.
So what does Octavia know about her hyperactive cousin that her musican friends don't already know, quite a lot actually!

Author's Notes; I am intentionally leaving Octavia's band mates nameless, but they ARE described as they appeared in the show, so they are not OC's.
Also I am not the only fanfic writer who has written a story where Pinkie Pie and Octavia are cousins, so that isn't an original idea. The reason why I don't think Octavia is one of Pinkie Pie's sisters is because while she does have a grey coat like one of Pinkie's sisters does Octavia's mane is black while Pinkie's sister has a light grey mane.
And lastly I know that there isn't a lot of comedy in this fic despite the comedy tag, I think that what I have put in there should suffice but if you really don't think it belongs I can take it down.
Damn you certainly have a way with words. that fic left me with the warm fuzzies and a big goofy grin after reading it kinda like this

2610866 Perhaps. This was intended as just a simple head cannon fic based on the not very popular idea of Pinkie Pie and Octavia being cousins instead of sisters.
I always like stories with either Octavia or Vinyl in it
; Punctuation problems; some descriptions weren't important to put in the story such as when Pinkie Pie started messing with their instruments and tried making them play faster and surrounding details. A simple "the pink earth pony with poofy hair at the gala" would have sufficed; like 2-3 run on sentences; Pinkie Pie saying she was running away didn't seem that believable to me. I don't think she would ever think of running away from her family; I feel the setting of the bar wasn't described well enough; The expressions and actions of the ponies weren't detailed that much
Off to "The Dare (Or Dare to be Stupid)"
Cons:This sentence: "In all honesty I'm glad you came to the Grand Galloping Galla, in all honesty it was one of my least favorite performances and you helped to liven it up." Just...no...
Pros: Octavia's "fun side" was brought out. I always like it when that happens in stories about her. Although I don't think Pinkie's personality in this story was spot on as your other stories, it does bring that "non-pinkie" side of her which is liked by a lot of ponies.
