I'm glad you felt the song did what it was supposed to. Well, I did want to it be its own story, and having Rainbow pop in would probably make it just feel too much like a rehash of that Flight to the Finish episode. This is supposed to take place afterwards. The idea is that the issue Scootaloo fights with - others saying she can't fly and her fearing she can't - is ongoing. But she has friends to support her through it.
