This story is a sequel to Spike Finds Love At Last
After a long and confusing relationship in the future, Spike and Twilight fell in love and decided to marry. The dragon's been adjusting to life as a husband and a prince, but just when he starts to get comfortable, he discovers that Twilight's pregnant with their first child. Fast forward several months, and she gives birth to their baby--only that said baby turns out to be a creature once thought to be just a myth. It turns out to be a kirin, a hybrid of a pony and a dragon.
When Starswirl the Bearded gets wind of this, it sends him asking questions of his own, questions he sets out to find the answers to. Celestia will join him on this quest, and what he will find out might just send shockwaves through Equestria...
In the meantime, Twilight and Spike have no idea how to raise a kirin, but they're determined to put everything they have into it. To say she'll be a handful is an understatement, especially when she unveils her powers...

He's not a Kirin. He's made up of more than just a pony and a dragon, though it would would make sense for him to know more about it. He's Discord and can pretty much do anything and knows everything there is thats chaotic, and I'd say a Kirin is somewhat chaotic.
That being said, the author really should get a commission done of Kunzite

well unless ember's eggs contain something like deathwing, darkeater midir, mega rayquaza ,or black dragon kalameet, on power then the birth of a kirin could also been seen as counter balence to discord

well that dragon pony hybrid comes from the fact that in a lot of dipictions of kirin they look like a mix between a dragon and a horse if you ignore the literal translation which means giraffe

Oh it will be awkward, but not for the reasons you think.
First of all, very cute chapter.
However, grass doesn't crunch when you walk on it (unless it's bone-dry). And grass was meant to be walked on; heck, it was meant to be grazed and periodically chewed down, sometimes even burnt down by wildfire. It's how it evolved. Plus, didn't Kunzite and the animals like the fox walk on the grass too? What was the difference?
The part with Ember and Fizzle was cute, but I also hope it ties into the broader story.

It was something I found online with my research. Some versions of kirin are so sensitive, they won't step on grass to avoid breaking it.
As for Ember and Fizzle, it will. Won't detail how or why, but there's a reason why you're seeing these bits not only with Ember and Fizzle, bit with Starswirl and Celestia as well.
The second out there is repetitive, just use outside also a comma between there and that's.

Yeah, it was. I planned it to be at least two chapters longer, but some of them merged into another chapter when I realized I didn't plan enough to make an entire passage with them. That is something I need to address with Part 3.
Just out of curiosity, did you know that Kirins were eventually gonna become canon in the MLP universe? Cause if not, that is one hell of a coincidence.
