Thank you; I'm glad you enjoyed it! :pinkiehappy:

You just wanted a comment, so..

First off, the English in this is pretty good. Not only did you do well with spelling and grammar, but your word selection and sentence structure has good flow and tone. Nice job on the prose.

I also thought you did very good job of describing a depressive episode. The feeling of not wanting to get out of bed, the constant wondering if people are only pretending to like you, the feeling that nothing is fun anymore, which causes even something as simple as watching TV to not work. This makes for a good PSA for that reason alone, and I'm also a fan of the theory that Pinkie is dealing with something like this behind the scenes.

The one.issue I did have was the schizo-tech: I've never seen them use TV's or phones in Equestria. They don't have tat kind of technology, and it was jarring when she was just casually using it. It's a bit minor in the context of the rest of the story, but I wouldn't have included that sort of thing...

So, you did a good job with this!

There's your comment. :V

It's reassuring to know that I portrayed her depressive state correctly. Thank you for the thorough comment.

On the topic of technology, you have a fair point. But ultimately electronics do exist in Equestria so I didn't think it was a big deal to include phones or TVs as a minor tool for the plot. Remember the 100th episode? DJ-Pon3 clearly has speakers, mixer tables, headphones and all sorts of electronic gear. These ponies don't live in the stone age xD :rainbowwild:

Still, we've seen radios and picture projectors and records, but never outright televisions and phones, so I've always pegged them as being no more advanced than the 1920s. It's just not the kind of thing I think they'd have.

I think you made the perfect choice of characters to use here. Pinkie makes this very believable and heart breaking considering what we know about her in the show and I can easily see Dash getting Pinkie to help her with her funk and Pinkie being so happy to have Dash ask for her help.

Thank you so much! I'm happy to hear the story came across as believable.

You can't bottle depression. I think this story does a good job expressing that. Well done.

Life with depression, that is a life I live. Although in my case I am on medication for it.

Aw man... :fluttershysad: Hope things get better. It's good that you're acknowledging and treating it though. That's the most important thing you can do.

Don’t worry, it’s fine. It’s one of those things where it’s caused by genetics so I have had it for years. Like I said though, I’m on an anti depressant so I don’t actually feel depressed. I won’t deny that I have negative thoughts from time to time but I think they may stem from a desire to improve some parts of my life.

Really good story there. That is well done.

I suffer from Borderline Personality Disorder, ADHD, and Major Depressive Disorder. I'm on medications to help with the symptoms but I still have days like this. I've been told multiple times that I'm a lot like Pinkie Pie and because of that, I really identify with her. Reading this story made me feel even more Pinkie-like, if that makes any sense. You captured both what an episode feels like and Pinkie's character with this story and I'm really glad you wrote it and that I read it. Stay awesome, ok?

Thank you so much! I'm glad that my story had an impact. That means a lot, and I'll try to keep writing. :pinkiehappy:

I have to give it to you here, you did a good job tackling Pinkie's depression. It's a delicate topic, and while I don't have it I have close friends that do, and having witnessed real depression I can safely say this is an accurate representation. At first glance it's hard to imagine a character like Pinkie suffering from such depression, but you make a good case for it and make it seem believable. I also feel it's written in such a way where if it were longer it could be a topic for a real episode: whenever you're sad, just know that you have people who love and care for you. Open up to them and they will help you.

Good job

10160469 Back when this story was written (over two years ago), I was feeling really burnt out and depressed so it draws heavily from personal experience. However, a lot of things were adapted to fit Pinkie's character. :pinkiesad2: It's good to know her feelings came across as believable. Thanks for the comment, and I'm glad you enjoyed it! :pinkiehappy:
