Our heroines attend the opening premiere of the Daring Do movie. While praised by the crowd, one particular fan notices something, well a few things, off about the movie. Confused, she has a little talk with the director, Canter Zoom.
A little satire that's been in my mind for a long while.
Overall, I enjoyed this story. It would have been a better if Rainbow and Canter had actually had a dialogue about the movie changes, instead of just leaving a single voicemail each.
But why was their scene cut out of the DVD version?
I'm confused, I get the first part being a parody of how a lot of more serious movies tend to get cut down by studio interference in order to avoid angry parents, but the second part I don't get.
What's the joke exactly?

I think the joke is that their cameos got cut.
The Beat-Alls? Are they a monkey, the devil, a rich brat, and a hilbilly with a rock?

Same.

Sorry for the late response. Man did this story do much then I thought it would.
Anyway. I'll give you guys a clue as to why the Rainbooms are disgusted with the DVD release. You know how in some showings of ET, the guns are "replaced" with walkie talkies, or how it's so difficult to find the original print to the Star Wars Trilogy?
Take those examples of digital destruction and apply it to the Rainbooms.

Okay that kind of answers my question, however, not completely. What is it kind of like with the newer editions of Star Wars where they added all those ugly digital effects.
Well what could they have possibly added to Daring Do that would make them disgusted.

I'm certain Rarity wouldn't like it if her skin color, hair color, and her face become digitally altered so much as to be virtually unrecognizable to everyone.

Wait so they changed their appearances? Okay I guess that would kind of bug them. Though when you said disgusted I frankly thought it was something a little more on the mature side they might have done, in the extended or unedited cut anyway.
