Celestia is tired of ruling Equestria. So she decides to take a day off... using any means possible.
In this case it involves pretending to be sick and tricking her sister into ruling in her stead for the day.
Well, her clever plan succeeds, and Celestia is left to herself all day long. As she is enjoying her time off, she discovers a stack of letters in her bedroom; letters that she hasn't thought about in a very long time.
Letters from Rainbow Dash.
Celestia begins to read these letters from so many years ago. They are full of Rainbow's passions, her hopes, her dreams, and her love - her love for one of her best friends: Applejack. They follow Rainbow's relationship with Applejack, blossoming from friendship into something more, resulting in cuddles and kisses and eventually in Rainbow Dash learning some of the most important lessons that anypony can ever learn.
The last letter from Rainbow had been an invitation to a wedding. And it had been sent a year ago.
So why had Rainbow Dash stopped writing?
This was such a beautiful story... I personally ship AppleDash and was so glad when they got together, this whole story brought out my emotions. It. Was. AWESOME!!! And beautifully romantic. The ending was wonderful though, I'm so glad they had a filly! I'm assuming that Twilight did some kind of spell so they could actually get a foal. This has become one of my favorite stories very quickly! Congrats, you've earned this follow.

Thank you so much!!! I feel really flattered. Yes, in my mind, twilight did a spell to get them a foal. I didn't want to mention that in the story though, because I didn't want to foreshadow the evening. I wanted it to be a surprise.

7909570 I think I first started shipping it at my second AppleDash fic. I can't remember it at all but it was awesome enough to give me a new ship. Plus, looking at both characters in the show... You can see that they're a perfect couple.
I think Fall Weather Friends (I think that's what it's called. I'm too lazy to look it up. Y'know, the episode where they do The Running If The Leaves and have the Iron Pony competition? Pretty sure it's in Season 1) really helped me with shipping them. Look at how cute and competitive they are... I wub AppleDash for their cute alikeness. I personally didn't have to think about who had the foal, I knew it was Applejack. So yes, you've made it pretty obvious who had the foal. At least to me.

Yeah, that's the right episode! I started shipping therm majorly in that episode too. And I remember in the one bugs episode when pinkie Pie was marching down the street playing all the instruments, Rainbow Dash had her hooves draping over Applejack's back LIKE SHE OWNED IT. I almost died right then and there of cuteness overload.
Okay, good!! I'm glad! I felt it was important that people know it was applejack and not rainbow.

I remember fangirling at that part too. After that episode, I had to pay a lot of money to repair all of the windows.

I also love the way Applejack always grabs Dash's tail to stop her from doing anything stupid. It's just so cute.

Lolllll, same! I made a legit squeeing sound at that moment. I mean, Dashie has never done that to anyone else, only Applejack. That's a clear sign of affection.
I love it when she does that too!! I remember once she did it twice in the space of two episodes.
I also love the part when the two of them played video games in the rainbow rocks movie. That was adorable.

I can't remember it too well, but I remember liking Two Lonely Souls In A Barn I'll look for a few more tomorrow, but today I've ran out of time. That's the only one I can actually remember being super-duper-ultra-awesome though. I justed filtered searching 'Appledash' in my Stories I Liked shelf and found this story and a few others. 
I seriously need to organize all of the stories I've read better if I'm ever going to find anything. I need so many shelves just for ships...

Super cool story. I liked the way you told it from the prospective of Celestia. It really added a cool feel. All the imagery was awesome and it made me think back to my wedding. Which made me shed a little liquid pride, but in a happy way. Anywho I really enjoyed this story. Thanks for writing it.

It's a shame this got so little attention. I'm always happy for more quality AppleDash and more Tia and Luna is just great, too. I like her playful side. Being responsible and mature all the time weighs on one - it's nice seeing her let loose for once. (And it's rather fitting seeing her get bored a few hours later...)
