My money is on roar. He protested way too much to be in the dark, he must have found his box early and only made the connection to what it was after monokami's announcement hence why ray couldn't find the murderer before!

I don't even know how it happened, but in all the commotion (starting Uni, studying, dropping out, moving, finding a job) I completely forgot about this fanfic. I was only reminded because you two dropped some comments here
I gave DR:PN a re-read to see if I should start writing it again or not. While a bit sloppy, it has a lot of potential and I think it would be shame if I dropped it completely. So... Next update soon, maybe?

The raspberries are hot, strong and sourish, the ice-cream is cold, mild and sweet. This dessert contrasts every step of the way and I love it.
Yay! It's nice to see I'm not the only one who is taking on the task of writing a Danganronoa crossover. It's great to find one alive after all this time, and I hope we both complete our stories. This is definitely going on my tracker.
Alright, theory time for how I think this could possibly go.
I think Twilight is going to try to convince everyone, even Monokami that she somehow did the murder in an attempt to sacrifice herself for everyone else. She could possibly start laughing manically, and talk about how she's actually the blackened and her plan worked so well she even fooled Monokami. She's the Ultimate Spellcaster, so it's possible that she could make up some bullshit about a mind control spell that she used on RD to make her commit the murder. In her fake plan, she saw it as foolproof, because in her eyes she wins either way, so long as they chose RD as the blackened. She'd then explain that she would have ousted herself as the true mastermind behind the murder, and if Monokami saw that as a valid method of murder than she gets out, but if he rules that RD committed the murder than RD would simply be executed. Unfortunately, she'd grown arrogant and let go of the spell right as the trial was ending, thinking she had it in the bag. She didn't anticipate RD suddenly flipping the script on her, concocting some bullshit story at the last minute. She panicked, and had already broken the spell by that point and just layed down the waterworks, hoping to win via sympathy. Unfortunately this failed and RD will now go home free. She'd reason to them that she was only revealing this now due to her being dead either way, but she sure as hell doesn't want the one who ruined her plan to go free. I think its complex and mind boggling enough a story that it'd fit Danganronpa's tone.
I know its highly unlikely that this is true, but the fic is probably dead at this point due to lack of author, and I like my explaination better than none at all and the current end we got.
So...10 O.C.s, 6 canon characters. Nothing particularly wrong with O.C.s anyways, since it diversifies the cast. That, and you might get angry comments if you kill off canon favorites
So let me take a guess...assuming neither of them get killed off early, Twilight and Blue Ray will probably decipher a lot of the mysteries behind this school. Blue Ray's talent is finding stuff, so it would only be metaphorically fitting for him to find secrets. Thunder Roar may also be important, give he's the cover art character...unless of course even that is a red herring! Playing the games, I can't help but suspect every hint is a red herring!
There shouldn't be too much of a (DANGANRONPA 1 SPOILERS > ) memory loss plot twist with several years erased, because Tot He Toi is young enough (and presumably Fleur knew him from outside of the school) that he would have grown up noticeably in size and potentially gained his Cutie Mark in any time period that had been wiped.
Well, at least you switched it up instead of having classic Monokuma has the front-end antagonist. A timberwolf, that's interesting. The obvious suspect at this point is Nightmare Moon, given the focus on Nightmare instead of Despair. The obvious one, in any case!
So, Princess Luna definitely hasn't returned yet. Well, not surprising considering Twilight hasn't graduated yet. As another random theory, it could be
Nightmare Moon has them trapped inside a dream, which would remove a lot of the need for physical power. The four stars aligning to let Nightmare Moon was a thing in the series premiere, so maybe she is using the alignment of the four stars to put ponies into a nightmare instead. In which case this could take place many years later, as in a dream you can alter Tot Te Hoi's size to when he was a 12-year-old, for instance
As for the potential first victim...I assume it'll be somepony who has a reasonably useful talent in solving the mystery of the school. So likely one of Blue Ray, who can seek stuff, A.K. Yearling, who probably has insight into tropes and cliches to apply to real life, and Caesar, who as a mathematician would also be a good logician. Secondary would be one of the two inventors.
My deductions so far:
The magic seal may be a red herring and a unicorn committed the murder regardless, using the magic seal to throw somepony else off.
Blue Ray was supposedly out on watch all night, but only was killed at 657 am, 3 minutes prior to the morning wake-up call. Most likely the murderer noticed him out and about and plotted a premeditated murder. The second possibility is Blue Ray's clairvoyant sense went off when he spotted the would-be murderer and the two got in a scuffle. Somepony's blood spatter, likely Blue Ray's, got over the stairs. The killer would have had to mop up the stairs, put it in the closet, find a magic seal out of the classroom, and seal the closet. I think that happened well before 657 am, but Blue Ray wasn't dead yet. Instead, he was severely injured as the result of his fight with the murderer. Likely he was flying and got hit from below, causing the dislocation of his wing.
The killer then dragged Blue Ray up the stairs, leaving behind a streak of blood, which had to be cleaned up. A unicorn could levitate him and a pegasus could have just carried him up, but either species might have dragged him up the stairs regardless to pin it on an Earth pony. The killer then dropped him from the top of the stairs, resulting in his broken neck and death as he couldn't fly with a dislocated wing. However, the killer may also have had some sort of method to delay the drop, such as a unicorn holding him in mid-air levitating and then cancelling the levitating some time later. The drop would have created enough noise that Bewilderer could hear it and misinterpreted it as a door being slammed shut. The one problem with that theory is that the Central Tower, where Blue Ray's body was found, is on the opposite side of the wing to the central tower, so other ponies should have heard it. It may be the noise was something else.
Of course, since people other than the protagonist will always break out new evidence during a trial, I'll have to revise this theory most likely. I assume Thunder Roar will take the lead in the trial given his cover art status.
Oh, but I think it is! At least, since I've gotten to the end here.
I wonder what Rainbow Dash found in her box. Fluttershy's feathers?
