Original Works. It was a good run.

, when she opened the door, she was met by a crying princess.

I think you may have a part at the beginning, there.

Anyway. This was cute and a bit heartwarming. I wish we could have gotten a better look at Rarity's side instead of just her short reply at the end, though.

After words Sweet Apple Acres mysteriously burned to the ground, the house the barn and every single apple and tree...

Some say it was the fruit bats smoking. . .

Or was it?

As sad as it was... I wonder how Rarity sent a response back, considering messages seem to be sent through dragon fire, lile Spike's, or whatever an alicorn like Celestia uses.

Also, is this just a oneshot?

7510001 This is a oneshot, though I kind of wish I could say it was a prequel of sorts, kind of like A Rainy Day (I bet I'm wrong with the name is) was for an idea I've had in my head a long time. Unfortunately, I've never sat down to type it. A super slim version of it is that Spike comes back, YEARS (like 30) later, to a crestfallen and defeated Mane 6, who, while their lives haven't been only tragedy, their personal lives haven't gone very well, and while catching up with them, he needs to decide whether or not to stay and be with them, or leave to find someone younger, and continue to explore the world with his longevity.

Also, Twilight helped send the message back.

Good story, but title is really miss-leading. Spike is most definitely not over her

Fascinating piece. Nicely done!
