All I can can say is WOW! Downright great job on this first chapter to this story series. The exchanges, characterizations, action and future chapter set-up were all well done in all the right places. REALLY good way of showing how much the war is effecting everybody; two former friends on opposing sides of the war, now fighting each other for real. And, despite the fact that circumstances make them enemies in the war, that former friendship had NOT gone away completely.

VERY certainly looking forward to more of this story.

This was a good first chapter but this kind of fights tend to be saved for the climax. I hope we get to see more of this.

Also, I'll be tracking this. Good premise.

That's one heck of a way to start us off. The emotions are real, I'm sure anyone who would have to fight a childhood friend to the death would at least give the respect that they once had to them.
