This story is a sequel to What am I to You?

The final chapter in "The Maternal Bonds of Eternal Friendship" sheds light on how Twilight Sparkle and Spike were destined to be together while acknowledging the importance of appreciating those things only our unbridled emotions can explain.

I'm delighted you enjoyed this finale to the series. It took some friendly inspiration to get all the details just right, but I'm definitely happy with it.

Thanks so kindly for taking the time to read the story and for commenting. :) It is much appreciated.

No problem. Keep up the good work.

So.....
"f*ck her right in the p*ssy?"
Great story btw

Well... not quite. Though, I'm sure some readers could see it that way.

That's the fun of fiction about fiction. You can write whatever you want to write while those who read can interpret the tale any way they so please. :)

Thanks for reading the story. It was a fun write along with, in my own opinion, a great way to end the series of tales I started back late last year.

This story was very touching.

I really like your idea of tying Spike's past into Scorpan's dealings with the ponies. Very intriguing!

While I don't necessarily see Spike as Twilight's son, I don't have any reservations about it, either. (It fits a little better than them being classified as siblings.) For me, their relationship defies categorization, almost like they're soul mates - minus the kissy-kissy stuff. :twilightblush:

That's a really good point. It is truly impossible, based on show canon, to classify what Spike and Twilight's relationship is. We all can come up with hypothetical concepts, but the show canon will ultimately be what lets us know what is truly meant by their pairing.

I believe IDW is releasing a comic that is supposed to go more in detail of Twilight raising Spike back after he hatched. However, I don't believe it will do more than show the ups-and-downs of babysitting. This is why I'd really like to see an episode, or series of episodes, that show how Spike gained his magical connection to send and receive messages to Celestia while becoming Twilight's faithful assistant.

Thanks a lot for the comment and extra thanks for your time in reading the story. I really appreciate it.

Thank you so very much for your time in reading and commenting on the story. It's comments, like yours, that help me know where I should continue to head in all of my writing.

Stay Pony and have a wonderful day!

Such a beautiful conclusion to a great series!

It makes me very happy to hear the entire series was worth your time. I've done a lot of experimenting in writing via FiM Fiction, but I must say this series is the style I love to write the most. :)

Many, many thanks for your kindness in reading through it and leaving comments. They are all very appreciated. Have a most awesome day!

Very good series, though this one felt a bit rushed. I like how the previous chapters really tried to explore what it's like for Spike to have a parental figure who doesn't act like much of a parents and how lonley it he is. I really appreciated how it used emotion more then dialogue.
While good, this chapter felt very dialogue heavy and a bit lacking in quite emotional moments.
I did like how this tries to tie Spike's origin into Scorpion as a G1 nod, though I felt the whole Spike being meant to wield the elements with Twilight undermines the other barres a bit.

Thank you for the critique. It is nice to hear how each of the parts in this series compared and contrasted. I also can see how the finale here was not quite in-line with the other parts due to being more heavy on dialogue than emotion. This is something I will try to keep in mind for future works that I do in which develop into series. :)

“Eternal… ‘power’?” thought Spike.
“Yes,” said Twilight.

Twilight can read minds, apparantly.

Great end to this series!!

Lovely, I felt the spirit when reading this! Thank you!

Actually it would be Twilights parents who raised Spike. Twilight would be his older sister.

It's amazing how ignorant people are about this. She would have been far too young and irresponsible to raise Spike. We have seen this on multiple occasions.

She wouldn't be a princess now because she would have been failing at school and as Celestia's protege.
